The ring caps are secured by SIX steel Torx-head screws to ensure the full surface area of the rings comes to bear on the scope body to prevent slippage. PRI’s heavy duty steel 34mm scope rings are machined from 4140 carbon steel to provide the strength to handle the kick of everything up to a big .50 cal. A hardened steel crossbolt and a large 1/2" diameter steel hex nut secure the ring to the scope base.
