Rugged, Six-Position Adjustment For L.O.P. & Easy Storage

Collapsible buttstock similar to the current USGI M4 carbine stock provides convenient six-position length-of-pull adjustment to fit different-size shooters, including those wearing body armor. Ready to install on any standard AR-15 rifle or carbine lower receiver; includes 1.17" diameter commercial buffer tube, receiver lock plate, lock nut, toe-mounted steel sling loop, carbine recoil spring and buffer. Convert a fixed-stock, flattop rifle to M4 carbine configuration without permanent alterations to gun. Buttstock made from extremely tough, fiberglass-reinforced, injection-molded nylon that resists impact, heat, moisture, extreme cold, and most cleaning solvents. Stock interior diameter is matched to buffer tube O.D. for a snug fit that eliminates unwanted play and rattles that can give away your position. Steel lock nut has four square notches and pre-cut detents for staking to lock plate. Heavy duty, machined aluminum receiver extension, hardcoat anodized for extra strength, stands up to the punishment of harsh tactical operations.

A solid piece of equipement (05/09/2009)

Used while converting an A2 to shorty configuration. It's solid and gets the job done. The stock it's self is a little snug on the buffer tube, but nothing that a little use won't fix.

Quality stock (14/10/2009)

Installed this on a YHM lower. Installation was very easy. As noted by another reviewer, this item is very stiff when new, but quickly loosens up with use.

Expected better quality with Brownells n (30/10/2009)

Overall quality not what I expected from Brownells. Finish was rough. Slight fitting of the tube was necessary. Will be very serviceable if you don't mind the rough finish.

PRODUCT INSTALLED EASILY. APPEARANCE IS GOOD WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE RECIEVER COVER PLATE (SHINEY BLACK AND NOT MATTE). ADJUSTMENTS STIFF AT FIRST BUT APPEARS TO BE LOOSENING. OVERALL, GOOD PRODUCT FOR THE MONEY.(THIS STOCK HAS ALLOWED MY 8YO TO ENJOY SHOOTING A SCOPED RIFLE WITHOUT COSTING DAD THE EXPENSE OF A YOUTH MODEL RIFLE)

Good value (11/08/2010)

I rather liked that this stock was stiff to adjust unlike other reviewers. Very little rattle. The castile nut and lockplate are blued instead of parkerized. I didn't like that at all. The sling swivle is a stamped and squarish looking peice, again doesn't look well. It is infact a cheap buy and will probably work good enough.

Decent basic stock (22/10/2010)

Ive used several of these stocks for basic builds and replacements. Like one other review stated, a little snug is good to prevent rattles and the like. They aren't so snug that it's too hard to adjust. They are comparable in quality to other stocks of this style or price category that I have used and seen.

Built to last (20/12/2010)

I was trying to decide on whether to go with one of the Magpul stocks or this one. Since this was my first lower build having the complete kit (Stock, tube, buffer, spring , etc) was appealing since some of the others you needed to buy separately. Based on the other reviews stating that there was little to no rattle was the overall deciding factor for me. Yes I agree, this stock has no "slop" in it that I detect. Each position locks into place with a positive "click" as you adjust it in or out. There was another post about the finish on the castle nut and retaining cap and I concur that the somewhat semi-gloss black does not match well with the rest of my lower (or the rest of the stock), it is not a show stopper and you could repaint it to match if that really mattered to you. Overall I am very pleased.

Some good / some bad (06/03/2014)

Stock installed very easily and looks good but the adjustment lever is loose and rattles. The hole where the spring selector is located in thr lever is too big and allows the lever to move back and forth. NOT A QUALITY PRODUCT.
