The fit and finish was a great compliment to my Sundevil lower. Looks like it will last a long time and is a better finish then my Yankee Hill.
Time will tell how long it holds up but it slapped together great for me with a Yankee Hill heavy fluted barrel, Yankee hill Specter length free float, Bushmaster Bolt/Carrier, DPMS Mil-spec buffer tube.

I am very impressed with this DSA upper. It's a standard, mil-spec A3 style upper with nicely machined feed ramps. The fit and finish are top quality and the dimensions are accurate. On top of everything else, its so cheap! If you are looking for a quality part for pennies, this is your upper.

It was hard for me to decide whether to give it 3 or 4 stars... So I rounded up. This upper is nice to be sure. Good quality. Fits as tight as my Bushmaster Upper. Really the only negative thing I could say is that it seems that they went a little skimpy on the finish. If you look close, you can tell that the bluing is good in some places, but really thin in other places.

I purchased this hoping that all the good reviews I read were true. Wish I would have sprung for the DPMS upper the fit is tight which is good but the finish is easly scratched. I scratched it with my fingernail and it left a mark, the foward assist roll pin hole was just a hair to small for my 1/16th inch punch so I had to ream it with a drill bit and it was still tough going.

Fit, finish, and spec are all good! The price can't be beat, especially for a receiver with M4 cuts, and I have no regrets. Gun shoots 1 moa... so I guess that says it all!

Building a new Flat Top upper assembly, this product was my choice because of the price. I got it yesterday and started to work, all parts went fit in the proper place with no additional work or any modifications. Receiver fit all my lowers with very little play, it is a great product and I would recommend it to anyone wanting an AR upper.

I tried to go to some local gun stores to get a normal upper like this. It was to replace a fixed carry handle upper on one of my ARs. The stores were tryen to sell me very expensive ones. But all i wanted was something simple. This product is perfect. I have fought in afghanistan with a simple ar upper just like this and i dont see why people would pay more than this for a close range m-4. Its amazing to me how much people get ripped off for trying to be tacticoool. This upper is an awesome deal and all you really need in my opinian. 2-87 Catamounts

Fit and finish were as good as anything else I've used on my last few builds (LAR, DMPS and NOVESKE). The finish matched a RRA lower perfectly, was applied well and fit with very little play. It also fit well with a LAR lower, Colt, DPMS, Armalite and LMT with very little play on each. Threads were clean. Used this one for a BS .22lr build for the CMP Tactical Rimfire sporter. Would have no problems using it for centerfire. For the price, I was impressed that it had the T-marks engraved. Excellent value.

I bought this for a precision grendel build. I'm happy I did. Great price, great quality. Mine didn't have any finish, fitment, or pin hole size issues. It actually fits tighter in my lower than my armalite upper does, and has a better finish to boot. The only thing I would change would be to have white Tmarkings. But not a necessity obviously. I'm happy with this purchase

Its a good upper, not the best, but good. You will need a bushing or rubber block between the upper and lower as the fit is not the tightest. It functions fine and fitment was a non issue. It cycled all ammo put into it, including hand loads. Its good for a cheap build, or replacement.

This is my second DSA upper that I have used and I am pretty impressed. It fits nice on my Black Rain lower and the machined feed ramps match up nice on my BCM barrel extension.

The anodizing is thin and ugly, with a purple tint and poor coverage.
The Picatinny rail is not to spec and does not line up with ALG and SLR handguards.

My 1st one I received was almost purple. I'm not exaggerating, it wasn't like Barney the Dinosaur, but not black in any shape or fashion. I seriously wondered if there is any Quality Control with visual inspection by actual people by the manufacturer. I ended up deciding no matter how good the sale, I couldn't live with colors so I contacted Brownell's and surely they hand picked another to send which is much better, but still not as good in color match with standard mil-spec.
The other ratings on this product seem to be dated years ago perhaps when production might have been done differently.
Choose at your own risk, if you are worried about any customers who might picky about details unless you plan on recovering or Duracoating
