dual usage hood (18/09/2010)

Although this import is described as for model 70 ramps it fits pre'64 model 94 carbine ramps too .This hood allows for ample clearance in the sight picture unlike the other Galazan hood... SKU# 344-000-007AC(see my review).

To tight of a fit bad blueing

I ordered this for a pre-64 M70 that was missing the hood. I was able to slide the new hood on by hand but it is still more than tight enough to stay in place. The bluing was not the best (looks like it's an old part) but that kind of worked for me because it matches the finish on my rifle (well used).

Rough Condition (16/08/2018)

Serves as a front sight protection. However, the one I received was in very rough condition. It was scratched and had some corrosion. The finish is matte as advertised while the original would have been smooth and shiny. Be aware of the condition as evidenced by other reviews as well. If you are looking to upgrade this may not be the condition you want. If you are just looking for a rough, old hood this is the part.
