Perfect(03/05/2010)
I have a Stevens 85 and this mag is perfect!! Quality built, feeds and functions flawlessly
Savage 5-round fits Stevens 84C(14/05/2010)
This magazine (and the 10-rd) fits my Stevens Springfield 84C and works perfectly. Looks just like the one that came with the rifle, but a little shorter. Recommended.
Savage/Anschutz 164(18/05/2010)
Magazines are not listed for Anschutz. I had read online they would work with a little file work. I bought 2 mags, for my S/A 164 it took just a few light file strokes on top of feed lips to let lips clear bolt. After hitting feed lips with file, mags work as good as org mag. I have two 164's and these mags work in both guns. Mags seem to be made very well also. Am going to buy two more as the are less than 1/3 of what a new Anschutz mag cost!
Outstanding(14/08/2010)
I have six of these magazines for my Cooper 57M Squirrel Hunter. Unmodified they fit and function at 100% reliability. Great value for the money and IMO are better than the original with the rifle, because these magazines have metal followers vice plastic and metal bases compared to plastic. Should last a lifetime.
Doesn't fit Savage 4C(14/11/2011)
Ordered the 5 and 10 round magazine for my Savage 4C rifle. The 10 round works great. The 5 round is too short by approx. 3/16" when compared to the original 5 round magazine. It will not lock and will fall out. Returning it.
Works for Stevens 416-T(03/03/2012)
I ordered this and the 10 round mag for an old Stevens 416-T military training rifle. The mag fit perfectly, though it was very stiff to put in and pull out the first few times. When seated correctly the mag worked very well, but since it sits almost flush to the stock I had to be careful to make sure the mag was fully seated otherwise I would have failures to feed. I know this was operator error but the design makes it easy for this to happen. I had none of these problems with the 10 round mag because the length allowed me to firmly lock the mag in place.
The main advantage I saw to the magazine, ironically, was that it did sit flush to the stock. I hope to use this rifle for hunting and the flush magazine will not dig into your back when the rifle is over your shoulder on a sling.
If you plan on hunting with your Stevens 416-T I would get at least one of these mags. If you just like to have fun at the range stick to the 10 rounder.
Excellent Product(17/04/2012)
I bought this clip on a tip it would work in my Cooper Model 57M .22 rimfire rifle to avoid paying the $85 to Cooper for a new clip that is currently on backorder. It fits perfectly and functions flawlessly in this rifle. Beware of the 10 shot version Brownell's part no.533-400-350 because it is not the same. To get it to fit I had to file it for catch slots and to remove a portion of the side stops.
Length Too Short for Savage Mdl19 & 416(24/09/2012)
Bought this mag as extra's for my Savage Mdl19 and Mdl416. My Mdl19 came with a 5 rd mag and the Mdl416 a 10 rd mag which were both used rifles. This mag is approx 3/16" too short than my 5rd mag on my Mdl19; the bolt will just slide over the rounds and not pick them up at all; the magazine would also not catch on the magazine latch. In my Mdl416, it would feed a round now and then; it also would not latch on the magazine latch. Magazine is well made, good quality product, dimensions are just too short for my rifles. I will be returning this item and ordering the 10 rd magazine.
sa65-142 clip to short(14/01/2013)
Very disappointed with Brownells professionals, even with other reviewers telling me the clip is to short I ordered anyways. The Q&A provided by Brownells say's this clip will fit Savage 19 NRA also known as 1933 or 23aa. I have the original clip and say's MOD 23AA and 1933 NRA. It is longer then this clip. THIS CLIP IS TO SHORT!
Fits great!(04/03/2013)
The mag fits my Stevens model 35 .22 bolt action rifle as good if not better than the original one! (Then again, the guy I bought the gun from soaked the original magazine in gun oil, cause he thought it would be good to lubricate it... *facepalm*) Can't wait to go out and field test this new one!
Perfect Fit for Cooper 57M(13/04/2013)
Purchased 2 based on another review that stated they work for the Cooper 57M rifle. I am confirming that these function as well as the original Cooper magazines at less than 20% of the cost! They are all metal, including the cartridge follower and the base. The cartridge holding lips are slightly different but this does not affect their operation.
works in Anschutz 64 MPR(11/06/2013)
I read about these mags on RimfireCentral so I bought one to try them out. It totally works in my Anschutz 64 MPR -- feeds correctly, latches in and drops free easily -- and costs about a third of what an Anschutz factory 5-rounder costs. I will be buying more of these for sure!
Fits Anschutz(18/08/2015)
Bought these for my Anschutz 1415-1416. They work great and 1/3 the cost of OEM. I don't feel any difference in the smoothness of feeding between these and OEM. Some people reported having to do minor fitting, but the 3 I bought all work perfect in my gun with no alterations. They do protrude out the bottom slightly more than OEM. The only issue I can see is if you have upward pressure on the magazine, like resting the rifle on it, it can over ride the latch and interfere with closing the bolt.
Great value(18/11/2017)
I ordered this magazine in hopes that it would work in my Anschutz 1450. It fits and functions perfectly without modification. I am a happy customer!
cooper 36(04/08/2009)
This mag also fits the Cooper model 36.It is cheaper, holds ten, and fits. Beats $100 five round factory clip.
Works well with Anschutz Achiever 22LR(17/11/2010)
Bought this clip hoping it would work with my Anschutz 22 LR Achiever. It is perfect and only 1/4 the price
They worked perfectly(14/02/2011)
Bought two of these to use in my old Steven model 85. Wanted more capacity than the 5 round capacity clip with the gun. I ordered two [...] Only [$] for two 10 round clips! Yesterday I took the gun and the clips to the range. I tried a variey of ammo brands in both round nose and hollow point. Flawless preformance! May order two more!
IT FITS!(20/08/2011)
This magazine fits my old Springfield model 56 bolt action .22 rifle just right. Feeds ammo smoothly.
Works well for Stevens 416-T(03/03/2012)
I ordered this mag for an old Stevens 416 Military training rifle. The magazine fits perfectly, though was a little stiff to put in and remove at first. I had no failures to feed or any other problems while shooting about 200 rounds.
The only disadvantage I can see is that the mag will stick into your back if you carry your rifle using a sling while hunting. For all other uses the mag worked flawlessly and I appreciated the 10 round capacity.
Doesn't Fit(17/04/2012)
I bought this clip and the companion 5 shot model Brownell's part #533-400-355, assuming they were identical and for the same rifles. The 5 shot fits perfect. This version is missing the latch notches and the stops are too far up on the clip to allow it to enter the rifle and come to the proper resting spot for the latch to work. It required some delicate filing to work. Buy the 5 shot version instead. Match it up to the 10 shot version and you will see how too make it work right.
Very satisfied(28/03/2013)

"Exactly as advertised "(05/10/2016)
I ordered this item for my Sears & Roebuck Model 2200. It works perfectly. My order came on the date it was suppose to and I've already killed three (3) squirrels. Rounds were a little sticky and wanting to jam at first but a couple of drops of gun lube on the mag. and everything all good. Thank-you Guys, good job!
garyk6122@aol (20/12/2016)
I bought this for a Stevens 22 long rifle just to see if it would fit.because the manufacturer says it is Savage made. It fit perfect so I guess Steven and Savage could be the same thing on the clips was a hard piece to find thank you very much.
Good with old Savage 4C Rifle(13/11/2017)
I have a Savage model 4C; 22 caliber rifle; pre World War II production. Approximate 1938 vintage. The magazine fits well, the cartridges cycle smoothly through the chamber and eject correctly. I tested the magazine with 22 LR round point ammunition today. Fired 60 rounds without any problems. The magazine loads easily. The magazine is very tight when removing, this will correct with time I imagine or I just have not figured out the proper technique quite yet. I am very pleased with the function of this magazine.
