Definitely recommended

Best of it's kind 30/03/2011

Mounted on 1894 - 44mag. Used with .350 post, excellent sight picture for older eyes that can't see irons. Easy to adjust. Sits at good heigth for quick shots, which is what I wanted it for. Ordered another for 336 in 30-30.

Slightly recommend

Nice and functional but.... 13/01/2010

These need to be much more flush with the receiver on a 336C marlin lever. They sit so high...they tend to tear the gun case to shreds. Also...high means you need a higher front sight...so you cannot use the sight hood...and again tear up more gun cases...or worse...break front sight beads off.

What would be so hard to do about making them fit to use the normal front sight bead, and existing scope mount holes...without being so unnecessarily high off the receiver top?

common sense please!
