Set is available with choice of JPBC-2A Low Mass carriers that reduce felt recoil and increase bolt speeds slightly for enhanced rapid fire handling, or the standard JPBC-2A Full Mass carriers that replicates the normal carrier weight and is preferred for duty rifles or any time absolute reliability is required. Standard weight carrier features a 100% increase in bearing surface for smoother cycling and reduced wear on the inside of the receiver. Definitely recommended

Brownells USA Super Smooth 09/10/2015

I use this BCG on my first build. I basically have a JP gassed AR15, BCG, JP Silent Capture Buffer and JP Adj Gas Block. My First build is more for precision but I can quickly change it to competition when the time comes. Smooth operation of the BCG due to its light weight, and you barely feel anything shot to shot.

Brownells USA Excellent product 09/07/2015

To begin with, I already own the black version that I run in my carbine. I purchased the stainless version initially simply because of the looks; it matched the stainless barrel I was using at the time in my 6.8 build. The stainless is mirror-finished and extremely smooth. It takes lubrication very well, to the point that a function check feels like the carrier is riding on ball bearings. I highly recommend this unit to anyone who wants a lightweight carrier to go with an adjustable gas block and low-mass buffer / silent captured spring.



Since it *is* stainless, I don't recommend it for any real-life SD/LE scenarios. Not that I think a small bit of stainless would be that much of a problem, but if you're operating at that level you're going to want every advantage you can get...which is why JP also sells the black version. For a hunting, benchrest, or run-and-gun competition rifle, its a worthy investment. Buy with confidence.
