I carry my 870 just about everywhere and I treat it gently as I do all my guns. I was just brought up to take care of everything I've spent my hard earned money on. The grips, forearm and pistol grip are cheap hollow plastic. Sure enough, I discovered the other day that my forend had a crack which had split the foregrip almost in half. I could pull it off at this point. Don't waste your money.
