Easily Removes Broken Cases Without Field Stripping
Case head separation from over-fired or out of spec brass won’t ruin your shooting experience if you keep one of these handy tools in your pocket or field kit. Hardened, steel tool reliably and easily removes broken cases from AR-type or any other firearm chambered for the .223/5.56 NATO or .308/7.62 NATO cartridges. Exclusive, threaded, two-piece design is adjustable for overall length, so the tool completely engages the rim of the case mouth; cannot slip through or strip out. Very simple to use, drop the broken shell extractor into the chamber directly inside the broken case. Allow the bolt to close so the extractor engages the rim of the tool and draw back the bolt to open the chamber. The broken case will eject along with the broken shell extractor.
SPECS: Steel, blue. Models for .223 Remington/5.56 NATO or .308 Winchester/7.62 NATO cartridges.

A Lifesaver!(10/10/2014)
A lousy TulAmmo steel shell (1st and LAST round of that I'll ever use) separated around the rim in my 7.62 AR. Insert into broken shell with the rifle assembled & @ inspection; you need the bolt to drive it home. It took effort to get the extractor set correctly in the shell (had to drive it in hard and splay the tips out to shoulder the shell properly). The 3rd try finally got it loose, but I had to use a cleaning rod & plastic collet to help it out in the end. The bolt took some edge off of the extractor's rim while driving it in; it is probably only good for a few attempts. A good gunsmith's rod & collet set is likely more effective & durable, but this is a MUST for a field kit. Saved me a trip to the gunsmith!

Worked absolutely perfectly!

Works well, don't need a cleaning rod to use.
A MUST FOR AR-15 SHOOTERS(12/12/2009)
IF YOU BREAK THE BACK OFF A SHELL IN YOUR GUN YOUR IN TROUBLE. DONT TRY AND PUSH IT OUT WITH A CLEANING ROD, YOU COULD SCRATCH THE BORE. USE ONE OF THESE EXTRACTORS, JUST PUT IT IN THE RECEIVER LIKE YOU WOULD A LOADED ROUND AND EJECT THE BROKEN CASE. EVERY AR SHOOTER SHOULD HAVE ONE IN THERE KIT.
What a life saver!(01/05/2010)
I just got home from our 3 gun shoot and would have been shut down with a stuck case on the first stage if a friend didn't have one of these in his goodie bag. Took it out of the package and got my case removed without any problems even though I had never even seen one before and was back in the game. I even won my class!! I'll be buying my own directly.
This one works(22/07/2010)
I had a second broken shell to extract. I tried an extractor from another maker that completely failed to remove my first broken shell. When this break happened, I ordered this extractor after seeing its design is quite different.
This one simply works.
The design of the prongs makes it much easier for the tool to engage the shell and they can be spread slightly to engage more authoritatively. Also, this tool actually fit the bolt (unlike the other tool I tried) allowing the bolt to pull the tool from the chamber. I would definitely recommend every AR shooter keep one of these in their range bag.
One note: Be sure the rubber O-ring is set in the tool before use. Otherwise the extractor will seat too deeply into the chamber requiring the user to tap it out with a rod rather than have the bolt engage.

Easy to use, easy to store in the VDG on your AR15.
