Worth every penny!(31/05/2014)
I've owned this set for almost 2 years now, and have used them on well over 400 different guns. This was my first set of "ceramic" stones, I had previously only ever used india and arkansas stones. After hearing how ceramic stones are much harder and more durable, I decided to give them a try. All I can say is that I was simpy blown away by the utterly gorgeous mirrored finish that these leave behind! They are WAYY TOO FINE for beginning work with these, as they remove almost a microscopic amount of metal with each pass, so these should be used as a final hone/polish to a trigger or part. The square one is my go-to stone, and it has kept a 90* edge through an unbelieveable amount of hammer hooks! These white stones start showing dark metal on them as soon as you start using them, but run them under some water, and it slides right off! On a really tough case of buildup, a little windex or a magic eraser cleans em' back to perfection! The only thing out there that I'd rather have is a Ruby stone, but I simply cannot afford that, so these are what I will be doing work with from now on. I love that they are 5" long, but I really wish they were 1/2" thick rather than 1/4", but they still work with my Power Custom Series I, just have to be a bit more careful not to track sideways. Overall, an absolutely excellent product!
