Product Description

Made from tough, lightweight, long-wearing DuPont Rynite®, this synthetic material is completely unaffected by changes in humidity or temperature. The Choate exclusive, textured, matte finish provides an excellent grip, even in wet weather.

All stocks feature:

Drop-in installation
Minimum drop at comb for easier sighting with open sights or scope
Sling studs
Grip cap
Recoil-absorbing rubber butt pad

The SKS stock includes:

A matching handguard
Triggerguard spring
Non-detachable sling loops

Definitely recommended

Great stock 18/02/2014

SKS use 2 different methods of attaching barrel to receiver. 1) Threaded barrel - Makes the action just slightly longer, 1/4" or less. 2) Pinned barrel - arguably the most common.

If you have a threaded barrel version (use google to identify) your rifle will fit tight and snug. If you have a pinned barrel, you will have to create some kind of shim (not sure if it comes with one as I got my stock used) to put in the front of the stock and make up for this tiny bit of play.

The materials and construction of this stock are top notch. It is a great solution if you want a synthetic rifle stock Without a monte carlo cheek piece. Works great, fires great, light, comfortable. Overall I think its a great product.

SKS stock only!! 27/01/2011

I own and have installed other Choate stocks.I have always considered them the best stock!After trying for 2 hours with shims,and playing around with the oversized SKS stock on a customer's Norinco,I gave up.I didn't want to do a full bedding of the action.I returned it,sorry,was really disapointed in Choate's great rep.
