Works fine - easy to install(04/05/2010)
Thought I had a problem with guide rod, found out it was the barrel. Guide rod works great, easy to install in a commander slide.
Works great!(05/07/2012)
I have installed this guide rod in several different Colt and Kimber pistols and it has always fit and performed well. By perform, I mean that there were no clearance issues with the guide rod head against the barrel lugs/link and the bushing cutout for the recoil spring plug always fit well without binding.
This tungsten rod gives a good muzzle-heavy feel for target shooting and adds a bit of resistance to the slide movement (which will aid functioning) that can make it easier for those who can't hold a pistol as firmly against recoil but can still manage to keep the gun steady on target.
