Disappointing (03/10/2010)

I used one to build a 9mm. None of the empty Metalform 9mm and .38 Super magazines equipped with flat followers will lock the slide back because the stop's engagement lug is too short. I suspect it is a .45 ACP slide stop that made it into a 9mm/.38 bag.

The crosspin measured .201 in. The back of the slide stop was uneven and rough around the crosspin and all along the mold line to the slide engagement lug. Check and see if it's truly a 9mm/.38 before fitting and polishing it!

Taurus 1911 (30/09/2014)

Slide Stop work with works with the Taurus PT1911AR but it has a super snug fit. It is hard to remove.

I drove around the city trying to find a slidestop and no one had one so I ordered one online and took my chance and when I received it today I dropped it right in and it works flawlessly.

Perfect Fit and Solution (05/08/2018)

I purchased two of these as replacements for OEM Slide Stops in Desert Eagle 1911Gs when the OEM slide stops became unreliable in locking the slide open after last round was fired, independent of the magazine brand. The follower engagement lug extends a bit deeper into the magazine well, and all magazines will now lock the slide open on last round fired.

I have a new Iver Johnson 1911 snakeskin. Slide would not lock with CM mags (brand new) but would lock back with other brands of mags. Put this Wilson slide lock lever in and problem solved. Slide locks back each time now with all mags. Drops in just like package says. Worth every penny to ensure proper function !!!!

Problem solved (21/07/2014)

Springfield Armory fits their 9mm 1911's with the shorter .45 ACP slide stop "nose". This contributes to unreliable slide holding open with some 9mm magazines. Replacing the .45 ACP slide stop with the correct 9mm slide stop allows the user to use any 9mm magazine.

Had some issues going to slide lock and releasing magazines. Some were Springfield, Wilson Combat, & Dawson Precision. Threw this bad boy in and fixed everything. Now running this in all my 1911's.
