Another fine product from Magpul (07/03/2016)

0 problems. Installed in seconds on my Bulgarian Ak74. Quality and fit I expect from Magpul products. I'm sure it will withstand the Alaska wilderness w/o problems. My M4 w/ Magpul kit has stood fast in the Alaska climate.

Works well in DDI but tight (27/10/2016)

The grey looks great and this is the version you want on a DDI stamped because it has the cut out for side strap. I did need to dremmel some around the front to get it to fit. Not a bid deal for me but just FYI. Its a very tight fit but worth it. 430 rounds later still solid. A quality handguard.

A great way to modernize your AK (24/05/2015)

I would like to start off by saying that I am not an AK fanboy. I always found the stock to be too short and the grip too small, so I have been looking to bring my AK into this century. I have been installing the MOE furniture on my WASR 10/63

Size: The lower section of the magpul forearm is longer than the original, slightly wider than the receiver and flat on the bottom. The top section is approximately the same size as the original.

Fit: The instructions say that the new furniture may be tight, they are not joking. I managed to force the lower handguard on after some generous pounding. The upper part was a real PITA, I would not attempt to install this part without a good sturdy vice. I was also forced to file down the edges to get the gas tube to clip back into place.

Overall I am very pleased, the handguard can accommodate a cleaning rod which is great. It is magpul so I expect a certain level of quality.
