Extra-Slim Profile For Added Maneuverability

The Adaptable Carbine Stock-Light (ACS-L) is a slimmed-down, lightweight, version of Magpul’s popular ACS stock. The ACS-L provides extra maneuverability by eliminating the ACS’s side storage compartments, while retaining the wide, sloping top for a secure, comfortable cheekweld. Also retained is the storage compartment in the tail of the stock, and the friction locking system that prevents unwanted wobble after extending the stock. Includes a reversible socket for QD pushbutton sling swivels and a 1" sling loop molded in the toe of the stock. The .3" thick rubber recoil pad can be replaced by Magpul Tactical Recoil Pads (sold separately). Models available to fit Mil-Spec (1.14" O.D.) carbine buffer tubes. Buffer tube, carbine buffer, receiver extension nut, and carbine-length action spring not included.

Well constructed and positive lock up. (01/12/2012)

Fit and finish is great. The only down side is the quick detach point. Otherwise this is an outstanding stock for an AR.

Excellent stock replacement for my M4. Slightly heavier than the standard issue stock but much sturdier, more comfortable under my cheek, and the storage compartment is handy for little things (I put cleaning pads in there).

I bought this stock for my smith&wesson m&p15t. The best thing about this stock is the storage, it has a lot of storage for batteries or whatever else you may need to shove in the available slots for storage, it comes with 2 magpul plastic 556 bullets in the stock giving it a plus i guess. The next best part of the design is the natural angle when using the firearm to pull in for a quick acquisition shot. The instalation of any aftermarket stock is a breeze and this particular stock has minimal to no no movement once installed and locked in place with the locking mechanism. The only bad thing about this stock is that it adds extra weight and its a little on the heavy side with nothing stored in the available slots so 4 stars it is, other than that this product meets all the needs i have for my weapon of choice. Hope this review helps with your decision.

Yes this is the good stuff. The ACS-L is very nice. It offers a better cheekpad with the friction locker. I have a standard MOE on my rifle, but I put this on my wifes rifle and was very pleased. I will be buying more of these for future builds without a doubt.

I really like this stock. (07/01/2012)

I wanted to put an adjustable stock on my bushmaster 308, I had an extra CTR laying around so I tried that. Something about that just didn't look or feel right on a 20" 308 gun. I ordered this and am extremely happy with the fit and finish. Looks great on the rifle and feels amazing. I will probably be replacing the CTR on another one of my SBR's in favor of the ACS-L.

Then this is the stock for you the friction lock takes any and all slop out of this stock you get the best of both worlds an adjustable stock with a fixed stock rigidness, Then factor in a better than A2 Cheek weld and storage and you have it all I would take my magpul over at A2 or M4 anyday

Light, Solid Fit & Comfortable (20/02/2012)

Lockup on the receiver extension tube is rock solid. No play at all. The top is wide enough for a comfortable cheekweld.

BTW it fits fine on a Vltor "A5" style receiver extension tube.

Bought this to replace the standard stock. It fits tight and there is no wobble. Cheek weld is fantastic. I would recommend this to everyone looking for a top of the line stock for their AR.

Comfortable cheek weld (17/10/2014)

This stock was installed on a SR-762. The cheek weld is comfortable, and the locking mechanism gives the rifle a solid feel while shooting off the bench. Only con is I wish their were better sling attachment options.
