Rugged, Reliable Backup Sighting; Same Height As Factory Iron Sights
Rugged, flip-up sights provide failsafe backup when your primary optic or red dot sight fails. Deploys easily and locks securely in place under powerful spring pressure and two locking detent balls, so it can’t be accidentally bumped down until you hit the spring-loaded button on the left side of the base to retract it. Positions apertures at the same height as factory sights, simplifying integration of these sights on your rifle. Base clamps securely to any military or commercial Picatinny rail using a standard flathead screwdriver - no knobs or levers to catch on brush, clothing, or other gear. Protective “ears” shield posts and apertures from impact. Rear sights bolt to flattop receiver rail and are only .460" high when folded. Detent-locking adjustment wheel lets you change the windage setting in ½ MOA increments.

This thing locks up like a vault.(08/03/2010)
I mounted this on my duty carbine. It is very secure, precise and built like Fort Knox. Money well spent.
No equal.(05/12/2009)
In my opinion no better iron sight exits at the moment. I prefer a sight that does not need to be unlocked to be deployed. Just flip it and it stays up.
Expensive, but quality(16/12/2009)
Very high quality manufacture... certainly worth the price in termos of quality, I'm just not sure that you need THIS MUCH quality-- you could just as well save a few bucks by purchasing a different manufacturer and still put bullets on target, ESPECIALLY if it's a backup sight. Now, if this is your primary sight... then it's worth the $$$.
Look No Further!(23/06/2010)
I bought a standard S&W M&P15 with removable carry handle/rear sight and have slowly been making upgrades to the platform (handguard, grip, trigger guard, etc.). After looking at researching the many different folding rear sights available, I decided to go with the Troy Industries model as my next upgrade. I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised with this sight. It is well built, easy to install, and with a dab of Loctite 242, I have no doubt that it will remain securely in place for as long as I want to keep it on my rifle.
For right now it will serve as my primary sight, but will eventually become a very sturdy backup sight co-witnessed with the red dot that I plan to install as my next upgrade.
Rock Solid(08/11/2010)
This is as tough as it gets for a main rear sight or just a BUIS you dont have to treat like a baby. With a large and small appeture for short and long distance engagements, respectively, this sight has all you need in a package smaller than the standard A2 sight.
Great product(22/12/2010)
Sturdy construction, it locks in the up position, easy to fold down!
Well Worth the Money(06/07/2011)
Solid design, takes a beating. Quality back up iron sight.
Very Good(06/11/2011)
Very good BUIS. Rock solid. The people at Troy have never disappointed me with any of their products. If I had a complaint, and believe me this is VERY MINOR, you can't lay the sight back down with the small aperture flipped up. You have to remember to flip the large one back up. Other than that, this is one fine sight.
sweet backups for my optics!(22/01/2012)
Shooting with these folding battle sights is a pleasure. The rear sight has two same-plane apertures: large .190" for a wide field of view/close range targets, and the other .070" aperture is used for acquiring long range targets. With the flick of a finger you can easily change between each aperture. The only small problem is you can't completely fold the rear sight with the long range aperture in use. Simply change it back to the close range setting and it will completely fold down.
Grate Sight(21/07/2012)
I was upgrading my Sig. M400 with an aimpoint and folding rear sight. I installed the Troy sight thinking I would be at the range most of the day sighting in the rifle. Shot one 3 shot group at 25 yards and then moved back to 50 yards shot a 5 shot group right on. did not have to make any adjustments. instillation was very easy took longer to open the package then to install. You can pay less for other sights but then you get less. a grate sight worth the money rook solid. it flips up fast and locks in. It should not matter if it is your primary or backup sight ether way your life may depend on it so do not go cheep.
Good rear sight(23/01/2013)
Works great with my Aimpoint PRO on a Colt AR-15. Was on the money after install, did not need to adjust for zero. Sturdy construction and the flip up/down is great.
