Will not be buying another B5 stock (07/05/2017)

I bought this as a replacement for a Magpul MOE stock because I wanted to have the QD swivel socket. I already have a Bravo stock on another setup and had a good experience, so this was an easy purchase. When it arrived, I slid off the MOE stock and attempted to slide on the Bravo. I say attempted because it was very tight, which isn't a bad thing; nobody likes a sloppy fitting stock. With a few taps, I finally got it to move past the locking pin where it should start clicking into place on the receiver extension. That however, did not happen. It is now stuck in place on the receiver extension. It will not move at all. And before anyone suggests anything about the receiver extension size, this is a Daniel Defense mil-spec lower from the factory. I poured a few drops of lube between the stock and receiver extension to get it moving, no luck. With more lube in place, I tried tapping the stock out with a plastic punch and a soft mallet to no avail. The punch broke and the stock didn't move at all on the receiver. So, now I am removing the receiver extension, with the Bravo stock stuck in place, and replacing it altogether. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing another B5 Systems product.

Ideal for LE (04/05/2018)

I have been using a B5 stock on my patrol rifles for a few years now. Recently I decided to change the color setup of my rifle and switched it to gray. This B5 stock has fit just like my other ones. It is snug with no rattle but still readily adjusts. The A-frame on the stock gives just the right cheek weld. Also, the QD mount fits correctly and does not allow for an inadvertent release. The butt plate works well with body armor (internal carrier or outer carrier) and keep the rifle from moving around. All in all I am completely satisfied and will continue to use B5 stocks.

Great stock (12/11/2013)

I have both this model and its more costly cousin with the battery compartment. Unless you really need the battery compartment I highly recommend you go with this one! I have both and the battery compartment model has a SHARP edge molded along the front of end of the stock. If you ever lose your grip on the AR charging handle and you slip without gloves you're going to lose some skin!

A very comfortable quality stock (27/12/2013)

When selecting this stock i admit i really wanted a Magpul ACS like i have on my primary AR but i went with this one instead based on a recommendation from a friend and that fact that its about $40 cheaper.
The comb of the stock where the cheek rests is much wider (like a ACS) and very comfortable. The rubber pad on the end of this stock is just thick enough to give good feel and grip on the shoulder. The angle of the butpad also is just right for me. The integrated QD point in the rear of the stock is nice at this price point. The lever to extend of retract the stock is very very stiff and can't be bumped accidently. It holds onto the buffer tube very tightly.
Overall it is extremely comfortable and a good value.

Best Stock for the Money (22/03/2014)

Spent many hours online trying to find the best stock upgrade for my M&P 10. After going through Magpul, LMT, VLTOR, I finally came upon the B5 Bravo stock. I'm glad I took a chance on it. Very easy to swap out, excellent fit, and not too shabby looking either. Excellent cheek weld and stock pad, and I saved enough money to buy some ammo. Buy this stock, you won't be dissappointed.

Best sloping stock (13/08/2015)

Personally I like the sloping cheek weld concept but dislike the fact that they are huge and bulky. The B5 wasn't my first choice and I went with the more expensive options out there.

I ultimately tried the B5 basic one day out of the blue. I figured it being relatively inexpensive, I decided to give it a shot. I was very surprised. The pictures do not do justice. To me the sloping cheek weld feels just right but doesn't look bulky. The main reason behind less area is due to the fact that the cheek weld doesn't have a battery compartment so there's less overall area.

Overall I like the stock. I should have gotten it the first time. I recommend this to anyone looking for a sloping cheekweld without the battery compartment. It looks and feels just right.

Kinda loose (15/08/2015)

Been wanting to leave some feed back but been procrastinating for a few years. 2013, I have purchased the bravo stock with the intention to build a budget AR. Once installed it was kinda loose. Removed stock and tried it to my other rifles and same result, "loose"! To be frank I was not impressed. B5 should be more focused on quality control. Got out my heat gun to mold it to my milspec tube to fix problem...

Great stock but room for improvement (14/06/2016)

Bought this stock as an upgrade to my patrol rifle(a Colt 6933). Cheek weld is awesome and very comfortable. Definitely a significant improvement over an M4 stock. The rubber pad is a nice touch for traction on the vest.

Now the negative. It was so tight on the Colt receiver extension I had to sand the inside of the stock significantly to make it fit. For giggles I checked another USGI contact extension and found the same problem. B5 needs to figure this out as at the price point it's unacceptable.

Once I fitted the stock it was great. I would rate it a 4 out of 5 if this model was priced comparably to the Magpul MOE stock but it's significantly more and requires fitting. I would rate it 4 out of 5 if I didn't have to sand the interior of the stock to make it fit.

Overall I would recommend this stock to a friend if they were looking for a better cheek weld than the Magpul MOE. The cheek weld is what makes it an improvement over the MOE or standard M4 stock. Otherwise I would skip this stock and get a MOE or CTR.
