Great Product(23/11/2012)
I followed the instructions, shooting, cleaning, shooting, cleaning, etc. to the letter. My results are greatly improved groups, now 1/2" at 100 yards, absolutely no copper fouling, easy cleaning. I am going to use the Final Finish bullets on all my rifles. If you don't reload they have Final Finish loaded ammo available. Same great results. My next is 223.
awesome product(09/10/2015)
I tried these years ago on my son's 7-08 Rem. and it went from a 2" group at 100 yds. to 0.5" group @ 200 yds. Since then I use them on every new and old barrel I come in contact with. Even the high priced barrels I put the finer 3 grits through, and this is my breakin now. No copper fouling, and they clean very quickly. Just yesterday I took a 223 of one of my friends out that shot 1.5-2" groups at 100 yds. with his best handloads, and after we put these bullets through it he was shooting 1/2 to 5/8" groups with no other changes to his rifle. The only Con is you have to careful when wiping your loaded round after reloading so not to wipe off the abrasive off.
Lapping system that works wonders(08/03/2017)
Read the instructions and followed them as best I could. I loaded them up with ease and shot them all. Rifle went from 1+ MOA to sub 1/2 MOA. Copper fouling was heavily reduced but did not go completely away unfortunately. Nothing but the best here. Worth every penny.
Quality control (06/08/2017)
I found a 284 bullet in the .30 cal box. Unbelievable quality control.
Left mirror finish in my rifle's bore(09/11/2017)
I once saw a guy at the range attempting to break in a 257 Weatherby using just factory ammo. His shots were all over the target. I got curious and asked to look through the bore of his new rifle. It was badly copper fouled. I resolved never to do that to my next new barrel. I built a rifle in 280 Remington on a Mauser action. Before my first trip to the range I loaded a 50-round box of Tubb bullets and proceeded to take an extended shooting session at the range. With each successive round of cleaning between ten-shot strings the bore brush had less resistance going through barrel. At the end of the last cleaning I gave the rifle a rest for a day while I loaded up a batch of 139 grain bullets for an accuracy test. The rifle shot MOA groups right away and I am sure that I can get them down to 3/4" with the right load combination. Thanks to the Tubb System I now have a great shooting rifle!
QC issues?(18/05/2018)
There was a .264 diameter bullet in the third set of ten.
The rifle grouped under moa with two different bullets, but wanted to try and dress up the rough bore. It cleans up with four rounds of cleaning using 5 wet patches then 4-6 dry patches using Boretech Eliminator.
A little better than before, but bore still shows rough spots in same areas.
