Abrasive coated bullets provide effective polishing to remove tool marks, rough areas and high spots in bore and throat. Eliminates the primary cause of lead and copper fouling and makes bore cleaning easier and less time consuming. Brownells USA QC issues? 18/05/2018

There was a .264 diameter bullet in the third set of ten.



The rifle grouped under moa with two different bullets, but wanted to try and dress up the rough bore. It cleans up with four rounds of cleaning using 5 wet patches then 4-6 dry patches using Boretech Eliminator.

A little better than before, but bore still shows rough spots in same areas.

Brownells USA Left mirror finish in my rifle's bore 09/11/2017

I once saw a guy at the range attempting to break in a 257 Weatherby using just factory ammo. His shots were all over the target. I got curious and asked to look through the bore of his new rifle. It was badly copper fouled. I resolved never to do that to my next new barrel. I built a rifle in 280 Remington on a Mauser action. Before my first trip to the range I loaded a 50-round box of Tubb bullets and proceeded to take an extended shooting session at the range. With each successive round of cleaning between ten-shot strings the bore brush had less resistance going through barrel. At the end of the last cleaning I gave the rifle a rest for a day while I loaded up a batch of 139 grain bullets for an accuracy test. The rifle shot MOA groups right away and I am sure that I can get them down to 3/4" with the right load combination. Thanks to the Tubb System I now have a great shooting rifle!
