Awesome replacement(05/02/2014)
This is a must have to improvement for Glock, in my case this guide rod replaced a stock plastic guide rod with better accuracy and give me the idea there is more confidence about my Glock performance. Add little wheight that stabilizes your gun. Great product!
Failure to feed(17/04/2017)
This is a very well made product, and the design which allows for swapping springs is great. Unfortunately out of the package it caused my G23 to malfunction. Failure to feed was the theme of the day. With the installed spring the slide was not going all the way back and it prevented the follow up round from being stripped from the magazine. I may try a lighter spring if I can find one and see if that fixes the issue. Please Keep in mind my G23 is 20 years old and has always been a problem child. Also this product was installed along with Wolff extra power magazine springs in an attempt to fix feeding issues caused by the installation of a TLR-1HP weapon light. The mag springs alone fixed the feeding issue but as soon as I installed the guide rod and spring upgrade I was back to square 1. Reinstalled the plastic factory guiderod/spring and boom feeds fine.
A good replacement(28/06/2011)
I needed a replacement guide rod and spring for my Glock 22 and 35, these dropped right in and work perfect. I have tried others and these are the best I have seen so far. Stainless guide rod and flat springs and captured like OEM.
Recommended.(29/11/2011)
Installs in a jiffy. Works as described. This guide rod is not gonna break on you.
Great product however....(03/05/2013)
Ok, like others have said, it will not break. Nice heavy solid guide rod. HOWEVER, don't be like me at a USPSA match and have the guide rod come flying out. What happened was the captured portion (which is threaded) became unscrewed during a COf and shot the guide rod out and seared off my front sight. Easy Fix... LockTite 242 on the threaded portion, runs great. I guess not common of a problem but figured I would pass on the experience.
Lone Wolf guide rod assembly(21/07/2014)
Replaced original Glock 17 gen 2 recoil spring with this. The quality construction is a lot better and will last a lot longer because it is Stainless Steel and not plastic. Functions perfect and makes the slide work better. Produces a softer recoil.
METAL Guide Rod(05/01/2016)
Replaced the plastic guide rod in my Gen 1 G17 because it was starting to crack at the base. This SS guide rod will defiitely last a lot longer.
works like its suposto made in USA(16/10/2016)
works like advertised made in USA
Scratching Finish, Recommend Sanding(09/03/2017)
The metal rod is turned in a lathe and not finished. It has small ridges that vibrate against your slide. I recommend removing the spring and attaching the rod in a drill or drill press and turning it while sanding with 300/600/1500 grit sand paper to smooth it out. It's much quieter now.
Potentially Dangerous Poor Quality..(21/04/2018)
Nutty design, poor quality. The nut that locks the spring on the rod is on the bottom that fits against the gun barrel. This end is constantly lowered than picked up as the barrel goes from floating got non-floating, meaning this nut can work loose, even easily, locktite is even questionable long term. The Spring squeaked. These things are made in Korea and have the feel and quality of North Korea. Spring was noisy as heck. I went with a made in the USA spring (NDZ peformance), works like this one should have, cheaper and better quality/performance. I wish someone had written and good review and saved me 17 bucks.
Poor quality (20/05/2018)
Assembled and blue loctited per lone wolf instructions. Sat for 2 weeks. Went to the range after about 180 rounds the guide rod came apart in the gun.
Works but not polished(21/06/2018)
Guide Rod works but the spring rubs against it.
makes a scratching sound when the spring compresses.
Took it apart and sanded it down with 1500 sand paper and then used Flitz polish. Blue Loctite to assemble it.
Wow great upgrade(14/11/2013)
It reduced the recoil a ton on my glock 20C to the point that it's less than my XD40 very impressed. Also Improved the muzzle flip
