Perfect fit. Complete step by step instructions.Quality Control personally signed off by Mike Sadlak. Dont find that too often these days.
Sadlak is QUALITY...(22/04/2010)
Sadlak's "Airborne" is of topnotch quality..with a really decent price. No regrets after opening the package and realizing the workmanship that Sadlak puts in to their products. The precise tolerances with mounting it on a Springfield Armory M1A, new production, was mind-blowing. They even go as far as making available(for a nominal fee)a DETAILED 'measuring kit', if the receiver isn't G.I. spec. Would definately purchase it again! NO negatives from me...
Should have bought this first.(27/04/2010)
Excellent piece of machining. Perfect tight fit. Final inspection performed by Mr. Sadlak himself. You do not see that very often these days. Concise step by step instructions with clear diagrams.
Fantastic Scope mount!!(21/09/2010)
HOW WOULD I RATE THIS MOUNT?? ABSULTELY! RANGE AT 300 YDS I CAN COVER IT WITH A SILVER DOLLAR SHOT OFTER SHOT SOLID AND AND EXTREMELY WELL MADE FOR THE M14 BY FULTON ARMORY VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR ANY TYPE OF SHOOTER!
WOW!!!(29/10/2011)
I paired this with my Leupold Mark 4 LT/R M5 3.5-10x40mm on a SOCOM 16/M1A. I was getting 1"-1.5" groupings all day long with Winchester SUPER X 150 grain bullets at a 100 yards! This is another great product from Sadlak! WORTH IT'S WEIGHT IN GOLD!!
M14/M1A AIRBORNE SCOPE MOUNT by SADLAK I(04/11/2011)
Excellent instructions. Follow them to the letter and you won't have any trouble. You'll need a set of 6 inch dial calipers to check your receiver to make sure it is within specs. Mine fit like a glove.
Exelant product for a soild company(06/01/2013)
I have used Sadlak parts on many M1a builds and the mounts work! I have a Ti on my own and the Airborne on several others. The mount sets up and dials in and stays set! BZ
Great Product(25/05/2010)
Installed it on a Federal receiver. Even though the receiver was way out of spec in several places I was able to get it installed without removing any metal from base or receiver. The ability to see the iron sights through the base helps when mounting the base/scope. I was able to get the base mounted and the scope on the paper first shot by using the iron sights before going to the range.
100% Pleased(25/08/2010)
Easy to install, No problems with the M1A fit.
Very handsome headache...jam, jam, jam(07/11/2010)
Sadlak makes an absolutely exquisite mount, but it caused my M1A jam repeatedly, repeatedly, repeatedly. The case would wedge above the chamber, between the scope mount and the receiver. Although the mount is relieved and angled to facilitate ejection, the relief cut ends about half an inch before the chamber, leaving a narrow "trap" to catch brass. Found a number of similar reports on the internet--supposedly a ejection timing issue--so I swapped in new mil-spec springs on the op rod and ejector, with no difference. Sorry, for [$], there's no excuse to produce a mount that causes jams. Went back to a Springfield 4th gen mount and it works without a hitch.
Best bang for the buck(01/12/2010)
Three years and over 1k down the pipe this Sadlak mount has been great. When I have R&R'd the mount it returns within 3moa.
I purchased the Sadlak aluminum scope mount for my (1991 vintage) M1A. I am impressed with the quality of the mount, detailed instructions and end result, which is a rock solid scope mount. I fired 30 rds after mounting the scope and had no function issues.
I don't usually write reviews, but was compelled to give this product a five star review. Great product!!
Worked well with my standard(12/09/2016)
Product shipped fast and arrived with all items needed to install. A little tricky to torque the allen screws, but if instructions are followed properly just a little extra snugging on each screw/bolt was right on the money. I had NO ejection issues with 40 rounds fired on my Springfield standard. Installed a Vortex 4-12x44 with weaver rings. I will say that I was about 12 inches low and 10 inches right at 50 yards to start-yikes!!! I did not do the recommended spec sheet from sadlak ahead of time, that would help I'm sure. I think up and down could be adjusted depending on how you install, but right to left cannot. Long story short I had enough adjustment in the scope to zero it. Moved out to 100 yards and fine tuned a bit. Took 20-25 rounds from a sandbag and picnic table without a bore sight laser. Overall happy with it, and the instructions are easy and accurate. I know the steel or titanium would be better, but for me, a light shooter I didn't find it necessary for the extra money. Not enough rounds down range to really know for sure about holding zero and shooting loose, but I think it will be fine. Will further review if anything changes. Sadlak and Brownells were great to deal with as everyone says!
Fit First try, adjustment takes longer.(21/06/2017)
Got the new Tactical Sadlak Mount for M14/M1 Springfields from Brownells. Test Fit and all parts fell in place on 1st try, nothing too loose or too tight. Used Directions and Mount adjustment kit and mine was in specifications. Installed per directions and this was only the difficult spot which was tighten then loosen and tighten again, even per directions made that statement. Next will be range after using Green Boresight laser set for 600 yard Neighbors rafter above window (2" x 6" on red Background) to see if big bore 762 x 51 shakes things loose..
Great mount(23/06/2017)
I ordered this Sadlack Aluminum mount for my 1994 Armscorp Heavy National Match from Brownells last month after another popular mount in the same price range would not lock or stay locked in the left side reciever slot. Before ordering I called Sadlack customer service and was told this mount was designed to adjust for recievers with out of spec recievers including the left side mounting slot (and he was right). I needed this mount because at 61 i can't see good enough to shoot 1 MOA anymore with the NM iron sights. Took around 30-45 minutes to install and using internet videos made it a very easy project. Comes with a small tube of loc tight too. Mount looks great and i really like the high quality fit/finish and the white lettering too. Fired around 100 rounds last week (3 shot groups) and it held a zero using 2 scopes. Mount has a slot under the rail so i can still use my iron sights. I am very pleased with this mount and its a great deal at $124.00.
