Okay(10/10/2012)
Looking through the fiber optic sight is great. Unfortunately, the sight itself is just average.
The windage adjustment is held by a screw (between fiber optic piece). Loosen the screw and the fiber optic slides from side to side on the arm of the dove tail base. There are no marks to see how far you've adjusted the sight.
The elevation adjustment is a screw (in front of fiber optice piece) that that goes through the arm of the dove tail base and contacts the barrel. Without lock tite it will not hold adjustment. Again, there are no marks to reference adjustments.
The screw that goes through the dove tail base simply locks the dove tail.
If this sight was easier to adjust, I'd have given it five stars.
Fair, not good, not great(21/07/2014)
Fits on my Marlin 1895G and my Win 94, but exactly as Cambridge22 states, the adjustment controls are lacking at best. I replaced the factory buckhorn and found the front sight was now too low, and the range of adjustment with that tiny elevation screw wasn't sufficient. I went through 3 other purchased front sights to get within that slim range of adjustment from this unit. It's ok for hunting if you are using the same bullets year after year, shooting the same distances, and don't need to make adjustments to your sight (likely the same hunting conditions/parameters you'd expect with the factory sights.
