Great for the money (17/12/2010)

A nice alternate to the longer vertical grips. Very sturdy and solid mounting to the rail. If you're shooting from a prone position this may assist you in maintaining a low profile.

I've waited a while for Magpul to come out with a vertical grip and here it is. It feels very comfortable and attaches rock solid. Another quality product from Magpul as usual. Wish it came in different colors, but that will be soon I'm sure. Worth the money.

Wow! Great Product For The Price! (24/05/2010)

I had been holding off buying a VFG because I knew Magpul would be releasing this product in the near future. I couldn't be happier! For the price, the quality (like every Magpul product that I've used) simply cannot be beat! The RVG easily mounts to any Picatinny Rail using two flat head screws. Once mounted and with the screws Loctited, the RVG is rock-solid. The top of the RVG's shaft tappers in so that it is more comfortable when using a thumb-break hold. The sides are aggressively checkered and provide a good grip but won't rip your hands apart either. I imagine that this gripping surface would work well when wet, although I cannot confirm this yet. The only suggestions I would make for this product would be to add other colors (which I'm sure will happen soon) and to use hex screws instead of the flat head screws.

goes great with the moe pistol grip and moe trigger guard for a custom look at a great price! fore grip is as solid as they come. grip surface is non slip no doubt! another fine fit and finish product from magpul.

I tried two other brands and neither felt right. The MAGPUL RVG rail grip is big enough to grab but small enough to not be in the way. The texture on it is perfect for wet hands. And it mounts quickly and feels solid.

I've used a number of vertical grips over the years, but none of them feel like Magpul's RVG. When mounted, this grip provides a rock-solid attachment, and just "fits", the way a forward grip should. It has an aesthetically pleasing stippled finish (it's a bit of smoother finish than your standard, stippled grip-job), which actually provides a tonne of grip, even in with wet/damp hands. And most important of all, it looks just as great as it performs! For the price, I don't think that you will find a better grip.

Great Shorty Grip (21/03/2011)

This is an excellent grip. It has a really nice feel to it, and is very "grippy" without being so aggressive that it messes up your hands. It is also very ergonomic (I know it doesn't look it!) and your hand wraps around it nicely. Also, it is a somewhat stubby, which is nice in that it won't interfere with curved magazines such as on the AR and AK, so you can place it closer to the receiver instead of further down the rail. Its short length also won't hit the ground as easy in the prone.

The best thing you can add to an AR is a vertical grip and this is one of the best!! Easy to install, it provides excellent control when firing and to keep your weapon "on target". The only drawback is that the item is hollow with no bottom and as a result has no storage room for extra batteries/other items as some other VG manufacturers do. However, at this price, this RVG cannot be beat

Great Grip (12/06/2012)

This grip was very easy to attach in mere seconds on my AR15 Carbine rail. Bear in mind that this is not a full length hand grip but perfect for the last three fingers along with the thumb and fore finger in a forward more over handed gripping position in order to obtain a solid purchase on the front of the rifle. Pros: easy to attach, strong and very light weight. Cons: has a hollow open end that can retain debris. Over all I highly recommend this grip, as it is another great product from Magpul and Brownells.
