This convenient tool cleans from Breech-to-Muzzle in one quick and easy pass. The molded rubberized core and Nomex® fibers together create an effective way to trap and remove fouling.

Key Features:

  • Heat Resistant Outer Layer: Made of heat resistant synthetic fibers (Nomex®); the same material used in the protective gear trusted by firefighters, racecar drivers, and the U.S. Military. Heat resistant up to 700° F ensures this cleaning product won’t melt in your barrel.
  • Durable Materials: Rigid, durable materials trap fouling better than nylon products.
  • Effective Cleaning: Nomex® acts as both a brush to loosen and a patch to capture fouling particles.
  • Molded Rubberized Core: Keeps the Nomex® cleaning surface pressed against the bore ensuring an aggressive 360° clean. The helix shape engages the rifling through the length of the barrel.
  • Threaded Ends: Coated solid brass won’t scratch or damage the bore, making it safe for all firearms. Features 8-32 standard threads to accommodate additional cleaning components, if desired.
  • Smart Gun Care: For proper cleaning, insert the longer, narrower end in the chamber and feed out the muzzle. Pull through from Breech-to-Muzzle®. Repeat as needed. Use only for the caliber specified.

Brownells USA It works good 08/05/2016

I went ahead and purchased one for my 9mm. I have used something similar in the past. The Rip Cord feels really sturdy than the other item I have used in the past. You can attach a cleaning brush or other items on it if you need to. I don't think you can go wrong with this item.
