Great addition, fun shooter (08/03/2016)

It's pretty cut and dry. This has been a great upgrade to my 10/22. It's comfortable above all else. Beats the hell out of the stumpy wood stock I had. With the stock and barrel I increased the weight to 10lbs but it was well worth it. 2 things to keep in mind.

1) I thought the butt had a built in QD fitting like the AR Magpul stock but it does not. I also couldn't find any clear answers that it doesn't, or which type it needs so to save some time it requires at least the type 1 fitting if you plan on using a QD style sling.

2) From everything I've read after buying this the .75" cheek riser is a MUST. With medium scope rings I'm sitting a little low and that seems to be the general census from all the posts I've read.

Other than that it's great. In the pictures you can see I've painted the two little pads on the grip. That was more or less to just break up the color. I've also added two strips of grip tape to the fore end and a piece on the back of the pistol grip. Probably not needed but the stock is kind of slick so why not. Plus again, helps break up the color.

Awesome (13/10/2015)

As of day one this stock is exactly what I wanted when I saw a Magpul stock for a 10/22. The fit is tight , the polymer is solid feeling and it is super comfortable. I've owned many M-pul products and this one follows suit: stable, comfortable, durable, and affordable. The kicker for me was that it will accept factory and heavy barrels.

Exceeded my expectation (24/12/2015)

I purchased this stock for my 10/22 Target. It was previously in a ZK-22 bullpup stock which was fun but due to trigger bar wasn't very accurate or easy to shoot off the bench. Installation of the X-22 was a breeze, took my time, attached QD sling attachments, Magpul's bipod attachment and elevated cheek piece. Put on a Weaver hunting scope and took it to the range yesterday. At 25 yards, point of impact was sam exact hole, at 50 yards, we shot clover leaf patterns. I had also replaced the bolt, bolt spring and magazine latch with upgraded Kidd Innovations parts and had a trigger job done previously. The result was s that I have a rifle that can easily compete in benchrest competition (rimfire sporter bipod class) or be us d as a squirrel exterminator. Can't wait to take it back to the range for more fun.

Awesome stock (09/09/2015)

if you want to add something awesome to your plain ruger 10/22, buy this stock. Super easy to install. It fits both the standard barrel profile and the bull barrel profile just by changing the layout of the supplied tray. Mine came with the standard barrel profile already setup. installs in minutes and gives a totally solid feel to the rifle. Normally the stock rifle stock is "ok" but mine when you shook the rifle made a clang type noise. As soon as i installed the x-22 stock it was totally gone. Plus it has the new magpul m-lok slots. You can beat it with a stick. Comes with additional spacers for the length of pull adjustment.

Pretty good. (04/02/2016)

I put this stock on with the factory barrel and it fit well. Got a .920 barrel and it fit perfectly. I like the stock however, if you start adding M-LOK pieces, cheek riser, QD points it can get to the $200 range. It has provisions for adding standard swivel studs but, you can't add a second on the forearm for a bipod unless you get the $20+ M-LOK adapter. Without the reciever installed, there is flex in the stock however, once the action is installed, it's solid. It fit snugly and did not need to be modified.

Excellent, quality stock for a 10/22. (12/01/2016)

I bought this stock to replace the standard Ruger one after reading about it, and it really does live up to its reputation. Very comfortable and easy to carry in the field, whilst exceptionally stable and precise when lining up a shot thanks to its positive grip angle, and the ability to set the length of pull as desired. It's my first time trying a Magpul product and it does feel of quality.
