Not much better than a brass bead(02/03/2012)
I bought this to replace my tritium sight that broke during a move. I'm not happy with the way this functions on my Mossberg. I found the threads not of the best quality and had to use 3 coats of Lock-tite. And it's not much improvement over the factory brass bead. The price is decent but the overall quality is average at best, going back to tritium.
BD1007G Spark II Sight by HIVIZ(06/12/2014)
Instead of using sandpaper for fitting I used an Arkansas Stone (course/white stone) with cutting oil. It was easier cut the sight to properly align with the rib. Sandpaper left course surface on the underside of the sight and left a grit that got into the threads as well as scratching the ribs surface under the sight. The sandpaper, even on a flat surface, tended to cause the sight to sometime cut unevenly. Like the fact it is steel sight, but watch for rust because of the bare steel between the sight and gun barrel. Also, watch what gun cleaning products you use. I would have liked to have a choice in the size of the light pipes used. Of course I am older and wear bifocal glasses thus the request for different size light pipes. Take your time with the cutting down of the sight to fit.
GREAT SIGHT(18/10/2017)
I wanted a brighter front sight that did not completely take over when I went to the target and this worked perfectly on my Beretta A400, Screwed in and lined up without fitting. I will be ordering 2 more for my other Beretta's.
