Excellent For Concealed Carry, Pin Shooting & Hunting Revolvers
Smooth, narrow design by the "fastest revolver alive" gives competition and speed shooters a fast draw and maximum recoil control. One-piece construction features an open backstrap for a comfortable grip and excellent trigger reach; provides a solid fit to the frame. Minimal size helps prevent "printing". Non-checkered so clothing slides over it easily. Made of attractive Pau Ferro. JM initials etched into grips.
SPECS: Pau Ferro. Fits round (RB) butt S&W K, L, and N frame revolvers.

Does exactly what they are meant to do(19/09/2009)
OK... so they aren't as much on looks when compared to other aftermarket "designer" grips, and when I first put them on my S&W 657 I thought "Broom Handle Mauser". But they live up to the claims in spades and do exactly what they say they do, and I am pleased with them.
These feel great in your hand and really lend a feeling of complete command/control over the firing of the weapon they are on. The metal to wood fit is like a glove, literally, it's that precise/snug.
In Jerry Miculek's "trigger job" DVD (also highly recommended) he mentions that the N-frame grips are K frame proportioned, so no matter which framed gun you pick up, they feel the same.
That reminds me of S&W's intent with their K-22 (.22 cal), K-38 (.38 cal) and K-32 (.32 cal) target revolvers, they all weight the same, or close to it, to feel the same.
The smooth (almost polished) surface and rounded contour makes them ideal for concealed carry.
My only complaint is I wish they were offered in more than one choice of wood, for a stainless steel gun, one in a black/Grey laminated wood would have looked really sharp.
Pretty, but not quite there...(06/02/2010)
Nice looking grip and fits the revolver perfectly, and for the most part it fits my hand. One thing I did have to do to it though was narrow down the area just behind the trigger guard because the grip didn't allow me as high a grip on the revolver as I am used to using. It wasn't comfortable in that respect because it didn't fit my style.
A touch of fuctional class!(10/09/2010)
I put a set on my 327-R8. It's amazing how they reposition your hand and put your grip in a natural point of Aim. The fit and finish is purfect. As conceal grips go they are rounded and easy to get a hold of * for as much as a N Frame can be concealed *. I am buying another set for my 629.
comfortable grips(15/04/2011)
I used these on a M-625 round butt that I gave my son for a college graduation gift. Some of the most comfortable grips around, but means of attachment is a bit of a pain. I wouldn't mind a simple grip screw.
Great Grips-Ad Less Than Accurate(24/10/2013)
I am a fan of Miculek grips. I have shot other friends revolvers equipped with them and resolved that when I buy my next N-Frame Smith I would get a set. I am not a Logo kind of guy so searched far and wide for a pair without the logo in the Pau Ferro wood. Brownells was the only source that showed photos of grips with plain wood without the logo so I ordered from them. The grips I received were straight from Hogue with the same JM lightning bolt logo as everywhere else they are advertised. The wood was very nice though so I decided to keep them. Then it came to installing. Be advised that these grips may take more than just "minor fitting" to get them to fit PERFECTLY. If you are picky and like all the lines and countours to mesh you may have to either return a non-fitting set for a pair that fits or be willing to trim to fit them as I was. The wood was so nice that I decided to trim internally as required to make them fit. Functionally, they are awesome and will improve the look, fit to hand and function of any revolver they are installed on. I only rated four out of five stars due to my expectation that an out of the box product should fit perfectly with zero additional work and since these required fitting I counted off for that.
Finally a great grip for the M29!(10/06/2012)
After trying four different grips for my M29 with a 4" barrel, I have finally found a set that decreases the abuse to my hand. They also help me keep a more consistent grip and have shorter split times. Thanks Jerry for a great product!
Nice wood grips, NOT competition ready(26/07/2012)
These are nicely finished wood grips, they look and feel good. On a K frame Model 66, they're not competition ready if you're using speedloaders... the left side of the grip protrudes too far for proper speedloader alignment. You will have to take a grinder to the left side to obtain proper clearance. This is based on SL Variant speedloaders, which are extremely thin... grips are still in the way. Did not try with other brands of speedloader, but I don't think any are skinnier than the SL Variants.
Great competetive grip(30/07/2012)
Installed this grip on my S&W 586. The fit of the grip to the gun is tight and how nice it looks has been commented on by others at the range. I shoot bowling pin matches with this gun double action and have seen an improvement in my recovery times since installing this grip. I would certainly recommend it to anyone that shoots timed events with a revolver - we all know how quick Jerry is....
very nice, but...(17/05/2014)
bought these for my s&w586 and it feels great, and even without finger grooves the gun slides automatically in the right place. However doing my research online, I didn't saw any grip with a hole in the front side to adjust the spring tension. This feels a bit uncomfortable with the sharp edge in the wood. I didn't want that. On the video you do see 3 grips and 2 have this hole. I didn't noticed that. When I ordered these grips I didn't get the choice to order with or without the hole. Or is it size dependent ?
