Angle not good for seating bullets(05/03/2011)
10 degree tilt makes seating bullets cocentric to the case/neck difficult. Bullet falls towards the bench on upstroke. Tried 3 diff. seater dies. All perform better in sloppy old RCBS rockchucker.
All other functions are great, solid, tight, well built.
Works great, even for its small size(05/04/2011)
This press is a joy to use. It is constructed very well, with no play in any of the linkages. The spent primer falling through the ram is an excellent feature. I am loading the .222 family of cases with this press and have no problems whatsoever. The previous complaint about the angle causing bullet seating problems is not an issue with my press.
Good quality!(14/04/2011)
I USD it for resizing .308, 22-250, .270 and 30-06. For THE last two cartridges THE space is à bit narrow to fit THE Shell but it is doabble. THE press operates perfect smooth with good quality finsh. It is expensive but worth Evert dollar.
Sinclair Benchrest Press(15/12/2013)
Purchased this press for reloading .223 and 300 Blackout. Perfect size press for up to .308 A rock solid press and so happy, bought a second Sinclair press so I can resize with one and bullet seat on the other without changing dies back and forth. Not sure what the other reviewer problem with the 10deg press tilt. I guide all my bullets until tip starts in bullet seating die no matter what type of single stage reloading press I'm using. With the open I-beam press design, nothing is in the way for handling bullets even as small as .17cal bullets which are tiny to handle.
Don't forget to order the bench mount. Works great and I added threaded inserts into my bench top surface, so I can easily remove my press(s) for other projects and/or take the Sinclair press to the range for quick bullet seating depth changes when dialing in a new rifle's accuracy.
Outstanding product(28/03/2018)
I love this press! If I weren't using it to load cartidges I'd keep it as a sculpture! Flawless machining. No exposed nuts or bolts, no sharp edges. The ram moves up and down smooth as silk - smoother than any other press I've used. I like the compact size and short throw. Sinclair talks about benchrest cartridges and loading at the range; the precision and small footprint make it well suited for those purposes, but I use it for loading .45 Colt and .44 Special cartidges on my loading bench. Provides more than enough leverage for sizing and crimping pistol cartridges. The compact size limits the range of catridges you can load, but if that's not a limitation I highly recommend this this press.
