The Magpul MOE AK Hand Guard is a replacement for standard AK pattern rifles WITHOUT a front sling loop on the hand guard retainer. However, for those weapons with a retaining cap sling loop the MOE AK Hand Guard may be utilized if the loop is removed. Due to the wide range of tolerances of your typical AK, minor fitting may be required. Not compatible with Yugo pattern rifles. Featuring an extended gripping portion, integrated heat shield, M-LOK mounting capability, and replacement gas tube cover, the MOE AK Hand Guard is an upgrade to any AK pattern rifle.

May not fit milled AK (18/04/2017)

Great product, but will not fit "any AK pattern rifle". Does not fit my Arsenal SA 93 milled AK. The tang on the rear of the handguard does not fit into the receiver. If your receiver tang opening is approx. .340" x 1.00" it will not fit. Everything else looks OK for fit. You may be able to change the tang size with a small end mill, but check all other dimensions on your receiver first.

Great product (15/06/2016)

This particular handguard does not allow you to have a factory AK sling loop. I wanted the extra protection for my hand from the heat, so I cut mine off. Install was easy and straight forward. Back fits a little snug, but a couple of taps with a hammer seats it. Much more solid than my supplied wood grips. I have an AK Draco pistol and the ridge formed by the lower portion of the handguards makes the firearm much more controllable.

Innovative design, excellent product (25/06/2015)

I use the hand guard mainly for target shooting and SHTF prep. Fits exceptionally well, slight modification is required to AK models with sling loop on the hand guard retainer. Ergonomically feels amazing in the forward hand and the MLOK slots allow for multiple mounting options. Have a rubber mallet on hand to tap the hand guard securely into the receiver so that you can easily lock the hand guard retainer plate with ease. The only thing I don't like so far is that I can't find them in OD Green haha. Excellent product. If you have an AK it's worth every penny for fit, function, and appearance!
