best quality(21/05/2017)
Best built mag and easy to load. Wish that I could order 20 or 30 round mags, but California is weird that way.
Great Special Purpose Magazine(30/09/2013)
I ordered a couple of these low capacity mags to use at the range (better clearance on the bench and over sandbags) and to carry specialty loads for which there is no need for high capacity (e.g., top quality varmint loads). After 300-350 rounds, they have functioned flawlessly even when loaded to full capacity, and are easy to carry in a pocket if you don't want to be bothered with a cumbersome mag carrier. They load easily with an open bolt or a closed bolt.
Great addition for Magpul and for Brownell's.
I would recommend this product to all(25/10/2013)
lightweight, flawless functioning with all rounds i reload, excellent for on the move coyote and varmint hunting. Magpul does it right.
Required tweaking the follower(15/01/2014)
Ordered two of these 10 rounders for use in my Daniel Defense 300 Blackout. Neither mag would lock the bolt back when empty. Called Brownells and they were able to duplicate the problem. Seems there is a lateral mold line on the back of the follower that keeps the rear of the follower from returning to the full upright position. Two minutes smoothing out the mold line with a needle file and now everything works as it should. Thanks to Keith of Brownells for the fix!
Not as good as it seems(15/05/2014)
Why so low score? Let me explain.
I got two 10 round mags to use then on zeroing sessions or long range shooting. Unfortunatelly I noticed that mags have problem with feeding last round and do not lock back. When I investigated, I found out that after last round follower binds in body in position canted to the rear (back of follower lower than front). It is same on both mags. No other mag I use have this problem and those include P-Mag 40 M3, E-Mag 30, Lancer L5 AWM, HK HRM 30 and 10, HK Polymer.
It was surpising find, for overal great quality of M3 series P-Mags
Superior to Asc!(18/08/2014)
I bought a 10round mag from another dealer. It jammed on the last three rounds. Weak spring. I emailed ASC support, but they ignored me. Bought the P mag 10 round and it feed all rounds perfectly. Avoid ASC it's junk. Stick with P mags.
great magazine(19/08/2015)
Great for work at the bench and for hunting It works great with my 6.8 spc too!
Fits a Bushmaster rifle perfectly.(29/01/2016)
I have a 2 dozen or so of these magazines in the 10 round version - thanks NJ. These Gen3 magazines are wonderful and come with a dust cover. I dare to say they are probably indestructible. I've dropped from 10 feet, stepped on, thrown to guys needing more ammo, etc. without a single issue. The standard metal ones don't stand up to that kind of treatment very well. It takes all of 2 seconds to remove the floor plate, spring, and follower in order to clean the magazine. All of my magazines have the ranger pull attached - make sure you get Gen3 pulls for Gen3 magazines.
Not sure yet(27/03/2016)
I bought two of the 10rnd magazines due to the STUPID New York safe act. (like criminals are going to obey magazine restrictions ect..) Took them out for the first time today used Tula steel cased fmj ammo at the range. I only shot 40 rounds and had to pull the charging handle many multiple times to (hopefully) feed ammo into the gun. Maybe (i doubt it) they break-in over time and work the way they should. Unsure :(
Severe jam on brand new MK18(11/05/2016)
I wanted to use one of these magazines on a brand new Daniel Defense MK18 rifle for zeroing and this magazine caused a severe jam on the 3rd round fired. A live round got jammed above the bolt; in between the charging handle and the bolt. It was jammed so tight I could not clear it and I needed remove the stock and buffer tube to get it out. After I reassembled the rifle I tried a few different style magazines with zero issues. I see that there are mixed reviews on these, maybe there are some quality control problems at Magpul on these mags, but I would never want to try them again.
A well made smooth functioning magazine(16/05/2016)
I'm still buying these 10rds magazines (state law) and pre-load and label with different ammo (FMJ, Green tip, Frangible, Tracer) kept in the ready box. I keep a bunch empty magazines to take to the range (state doesn't like you transporting loaded magazines) and I use the Maglula striplula to load them. All of my MagPul magazines also have a ranger pull.
A well made smooth functioning magazine(26/08/2016)
My nephew bought an AR 15 this month, so I'm made a loan of some of my NJ legal magazines and after a day on the range, he decided to keep them and the Maglula Strip loader. I thought they had grew legs, but said he would pay for me to replace them. Can't beat that deal.
Feed Issues(25/12/2016)
In Sig MCX found that frequently the third round would come loose before the bolt picked it up and then jam at an angle going into the chamber. Further inspection revealed that there is some flexing in the side walls of the magazine, and the feed lips spread just enough to allow a round to slip out on its own rather than need to be pushed out.
I got this 10 round for shooting from a bench where the jams are annoying but not critical. Would never use this for shooting anything but paper.
Magpul Gen M3 10 rd. magazine(18/04/2017)
I purchased several of the 10 rd. Magpul gen. M3 magazines for bench rest target shooting. I've used them on three outings so far and have noticed if I load 10 rds. the 1st rd. has a tendency to jam (not load into battery). If I load 9 rds. there are no issues what so ever. I'm hoping the spring / magazine just has to break in a little more. I like the magazine for it's size to suit my bench rest style of shooting.
Handy and Convenient(20/12/2017)
Bought a couple of these mags primarily for hunting and bench shooting from my Aero Precision AR build. They've always ran flawlessly with everything I've fed through it, from Walmart value-pack brass case ammo, to any style of handload I worked up. Being more compact makes it handier than a 30 rounder on the bench and in the field, and it's a lot lighter than a 30 rounder, which is a big plus for predator hunting. The mag cap is nice, and keeps the loaded shells from pushing on the feed lips, which prevents the lips from deforming when the loaded mag is stored for a long time. Only disadvantage is handloads over 2.250" won't fit in the mag, so I can't get the ideal setback from the rifle lands that I want for accuracy, but if you don't reload for accuracy and need long COAL, this is a moot point. Never had an issue with any factory ammo not fitting. Altogether a great mag, at one of the best prices around!
