Excellent product(01/07/2009)
I mounted a SigSauer mini-red dot sight on a flat top AR15 upper receiver. I needed a simple, but effective, riser to get the red dot sight elevated to the proper height to co-witness with the BUIS I have on the upper. This riser is perfectly made and looks very durable. It lifted the red dot sight to the ideal height for a good cheek weld on the collapsible stock I have installed and it co-witnessed perfectly with the BUIS. As a side note, I have a Yankee Hill free-float hand guard installed on this same AR15. The hand guard is also a quality product that functions very well and looks good.
Great Little Part(01/11/2009)
If you need to raise your mount, it doesn't get much better!
Yankee Hill Mini Riser Assy(08/04/2010)
I use this to support my Aimpoint on my M&P 15-22. Beware, it is a one-piece unit in that I was not able to loosen it enough to slide it onto the rail from the side but had to slip it on from the rear. If you don't have access to either end of the rail, good luck. Once on, it clamps tightly, is well made and does the job. Made by Yankee Hill who seem to use this one-piece clamping design.
best mini riser(01/05/2010)
With most tube type red dot sights these risers lift the dot up enough to lie slightly above the line of the irons. With the mini dots all the rage, it takes two of these risers, one atop the other, to bring the tiny sight to the perfect height. The mini riser is very solid as to make my Bushnell mini dot feel like it's welded to the receiver.
Exactly what I needed(26/10/2011)
I bought an eotech xps3-2 for an ar15 .308. Unfortunately, the addition of the quick detach lever assembly, the sight is about half an inch higher than the old design which pretty much made my back up sights useless. Rather than return it or strip the eotech off of my .223, I used these to raise my sights half an inch. While it probably negated any weight shed from the smaller eotech design, it does what I need it to. And while I really don't care much for how my rifle looks, these blend right into the build. They install in seconds and I could probably do it one handed, upside down in the dark. Very easy.
Loose as a goose!(20/02/2012)
Zero stars would be better. I bought this and installed it on my tactical 22 to raise my red dot to a similar plane as the BUIS. It would not mount tightly. Tried it on my AR and three other rails, all different brands. Loose on all of them. Took it to the gun store for kicks. Tried it on several rails there. All loose. I can't believe that every rail I tried this on is off, so this Yankee Hill must be. Some of you may be thinking that the only constant in all of those trials was me...maybe my error or I don't know what I am doing. Right? Well, I let 3 other people try it. At least one of those is active duty US military. Same LOOSE results. Mine is going back. I hope they chunk it or else one of you may end up with this dud.
Great low-cost adaptability(02/11/2013)
I used a pair of these to go between a two piece mount and Weaver see-thru rings on my Rem. 742 so I could use a large objective 15 power scope and also be able to use the iron sights. According to my bore sighter this should be great. I can see these will have many uses.
