Set screw allows drift adjustment for windage; elevation screw positively stops and audibly clicks for easy fine-tuning. Smooth, contoured edges have less chance of catching or snagging. Available in for Colt and SW1911 pistols.

Very Good Sight (16/10/2012)

I installed this sight on my Colt Combat Elite XSE 1911. It required some hand milling (1/8" wide) on the slide top and a little on the dovetails. It came with excellent instructions and diagrams on how to. I also installed the Novak fiber Optic front sight (662-000-040WD-.190"height) to complement this rear sight.
It all works great and I love the sight picture, and for my aging eyes it is a great help. I highly recommend this sight!

RUN....do not walk....from this sight (04/12/2013)

This sight requires an extra mill cut in addition to standard novak dovetail.Once done,only this model will work without leaving extra cut exposed.Mounted this on a RUGER SR1911.Sight would not lower enough to zero even with .225 front installed.Called Novak,got nowhere.Disassembled sight and found elevation springs were too long and cut three coils off each,now it will lower.Sight notch is narrow,not like factory .145 on ruger.Sight guard horns (antlers) stick up and block target view.

Mine became a 2 dot sight on day 2 at the range. how does a dot fall out??? Not cleaned before application I guess. tough to adjust low as mentioned before. I regret this purchase.

Ordered this as per novak..it will not fit a defender or any slide that is NOT flat on the top side..

Machining is required...
