Retains assembled screws tightly but still allows occasional turning or adjustment. Works especially well on fine-threaded aluminum and very small diameter screws. Screws coated with #222 can be removed with regular hand tools and do not need to be recoated after adjustments have been made.

Best for scope ring & bases(12/04/2011)
I have used this product for over 35 years on almost all small screws. It is particularly excellent for scope base and ring screws. Whether on semi-auto or heavy recoil (378 Wthby), no screw ever got loose on its own. Yet when needed, it was easy to remove with a simple screwdriver even after being in place for over 20 years and serious all-weather hunting. The minus - you must wash your hands well after use or everything tastes like saccharin.
