At first glance the concept is good but (12/03/2017)

I purchased this product to check to see if my 40mm scope tube was properly aligned to my scope rings. At first glance the concept was good, however, in real life the product failed miserably. I installed the product exactly as noted in their instruction sheet. When I tried to line up the cross hairs to the reference marks on both sides of my scope... it was impossible. The picture that they show in step 4 is pure fiction. At an eye relief of 3 inches I can't see any reference bars like they show on the instruction sheet. I finally had to remove the "Segway Reticle Leveler" from my scope and place it on a wall 30ft from my rifle. With the product leveled, I was able to confirm using the product as a target, that my reticle was properly aligned and level to my rifle. I had initially setup my scope with a laser and a printout of a target to zero in my scope at 100 yards. In addition, the product is poorly constructed. If you lay the product on a flat surface one of the reference flags is skewed up by an 1/8 of an inch. Overall, I am not impressed with this product and give it one star only because I could put in on a wall and use it as a leveled target and spot check my reticle... otherwise, I would have given it a ZERO star rating.

Works well (20/09/2013)

This nifty device works pretty well. I live that it levels to the receiver, rather than relying on a bubble and therefore the alignment of whatever mount the gun is in. (Note that it has a bubble, but on my AR15 the base bar rests square against the picatinny rail, rendering the bubble moot.)

Minus one star because the rubber band broke the second time I used it.

Not sure why anyone would say this is hard to use. I bought both the tactical and standard and used them for the first time today. Easy to use and really nifty!!! if you have problems using it maybe you could consult a professional.

I use this on a Rock River AR-15 with picatinny rail, a Savage bolt rifle with Leupold base, a Remington model 760 with Leupold base, and a pair of Ruger 10-22s with Ruger Weaver bases. Works perfectly, for years!

Simple and fast but I use it with a small torpedo level. I mount the Segway on my hunting bolt action rifle off of the front ring mount base to get my rifle level and use a separate small torpedo level on top of my scope turret and level my scope level to my rifle level to get perfect vertical reticle level every time.

This is the tool that snipers use to set up their scopes. They're simple to use. You don't need to have your eye perfectly in the eye relief zone to make sure the reticle is parallel to the lines on the card. This tool is THE best way to properly mount a scope.
