Mag is fine 25/09/2018
Wow, I want believe (duty have to) the springs breaking like they did, as posted by the other buyer. Obviously they did break and I hope WC made it right for him. That's just unacceptable.
Mine however, have been fantastic. In fact, it's my army mag, it and another just like it. Mine were bought, loaded fully and have been so, with an unloading every weekend ( by shooting) and then repeated. My Vickers mags, all 6 of them, have e been absolutely flawless. I would not stake my family's lives on them.
Mine have great followers, are smooth loading, have ultra strong bodies, feed Federal HST's perfectly, lock the slide back and fall free every single time I use them, I couldn't ask for more except for a cheaper price.
Again, the other reviewer got springs that had the temper screwed and I have to say I hope he was made whole and possibly received something above what his expense was but mine have seen HARD use for quite a few years and have never ever failed me.

Warning: you might want to avoid these! 18/01/2017
First of all, I did not purchase this item from Brownells (direct from W-C), but I believe a warning is needed to those that might. The version I have is the one with the steel base pad, not the Aluminum one.
The magazines appear well made (I have had great success with the regular ETM .45 mags). I loaded them full and let them set for a week (W-C states this might make them a bit easier to load). Today, when I got ready to test them at the range, I found the rounds just fell out with NO spring tension. I took both mags apart and found each had the flat-wire spring broken into several pieces (see photo). So much for Wilson's 'best' mag! I cannot imagine all of them are like this, but I sure would never consider this mag again for any purpose. Stick with the regular round-wire spring mags!
Upgrade your 1911 with the Vickers Duty Magazine! 💪 Featuring a stainless flatwire spring for ultimate reliability and an 8-round capacity.
