Won't work with a P22 Target Model(07/03/2013)
I bought one of these for my P22 with the removable vented barrel shroud that is held on by two torx/hex bolts. What you don 't see from the photo is that the sight secures to the frame's sight cut by a very small allen screw. The wrench, as i remember, was provided; but this is not the problem. First off, the screw is difficult to seat inside this removable shroud as there is no way to get the wrench square into the screw hole as the hole sits towards the gun's breech-not muzzle. So you're working in a dark hole to begin with. I finally got it threaded in and cinched up tight with a bit of purple loctite.
HaHa! Big problem! That little screw will not let the barrel shroud slide back on and after Loctiting the screw, i could not get sufficient angle to turn the screw even after bending the provided wrench 90 degrees on the end.
I finally had to remove it with a pair of heavy wire cutters- destroying it in the process.
It may well fit on the shorter barrelled P22's but don't know.
dont waste ur money on this!(25/04/2016)
this is a complete waste of time and money. I bought this thinking it would be an upgrade. nope. I have no idea what hiviz was thinking. ive mounted sights on everything from glocks, sigs, hks and walther p99s. but this was my first experience with hiviz. this was impossible to mount. the set screw was no way reachable with the provided allen wrench. I was installing directly on the slide. and it was just like the other review exactly. i ended up stripping the screw's head because of the awkward angle. just not well thought out. I will be using the factory plastic sight. don't waste your money.
