Best 1911 magazine ever (IMNSHO) (25/02/2012)

Never a feeding issue, double feed, nosedive, etc. The nylon follower makes sure feeding is done well. Drops free every time the mag catch is pressed. Extended base on the mag so it seats all the time, every time. Best 1911 magazine, EVER.

SOLVED ALL OF MY FEEDING PROBLEMS AFTER CUTTING AND POLISHING THE FEED RAMP ON MY SPRINGFIELD 1911 TRP DIDN'T WORK 100%. tHESE ARE EXTREMELY RELIABLE WITH AN IMPROVED PLASTIC FOLLOWER THAT WON'T HAND UP LIKE A STOCK SHEET METAL ONE WILL. bEST OF ALL THEY COME WITH A SLAM PAD THAT ADDS THAT 8TH ROUND! i RECCOMEND THESE TO ALL OF MY CUSTOMERS AND FRIENDS.

These magazines are the best out there plain and simple for your 1911! These solved feeding issues in my Springfield Loaded Champion where hollow points would nose dive and get hung up. Not the case anymore with the Wilson Combat mags. Not to mention Brownells has excellent customer service and quick shipping so you can't go wrong!

don't work with 8 rounds (17/06/2013)

Hoped to use these for IDPA; one in the chamber and then load a full mag (8 rounds) with slide closed. These mags will not seat in my Ruger SR1911 when loaded with 8 rounds. Seven rounds are fine, and slide open is fine, but slide closed and 8 rounds = no go. I can not spot the problem despite some long looks

Other mags, notably Tripp, work fine.

The Standard for 1911 Magazines (18/03/2018)

These are the standard by which all other 1911 magazines have been measured for decades. They work in any 1911 worth owning and are well known to be the resolution to mechanical feeding issues for many knockoff pistols. If these magazines produce malfunctions in your pistol, buy another pistol.

With respect to earlier posts describing difficulty seating a full magazine into a pistol with the slide closed, this is true of any magazine. It WILL seat if you insert it with a moderate amount of force. This is normal as the magazine is full and the spring and follower are nearly completely compressed.

I've not found a lower price and you won't find better service anywhere.
