Best sights ever.(01/03/2015)
I set the main front sight at 7 yards, but the top of the inside diamond at rear when front sight is aligned is at 25 yards. Great practical sight at two distances with one setting.
Caspian Bomar substitute.(16/03/2015)
I went to this rear sight when I adopted a narrower front for a .040 small fiber optic.. My original Bomar slot was too wide for the new front sight. Too much open space around the front sight. I have used the Caspian on my custom 1911 for many years and it finally gave up the ghost. Immediately ordered a new one. Highly recommended for PPC, L match, Bullseye with an appropriate width front sight. For competition combat shooting, when coupled with a .040 fiber optic, it really helps target acquisition in that you can use the fiber without locating the sides of the front sight.
