Definitely recommended

Brownells USA well made parts for a great upgrade 15/01/2017

I normally try to avoid buying super specific tools but I think that the jig to install these housings is a smart purchase. With the jig, thei nstallation is a pretty straight forward deal. I suppose that there must be some people that don't like the bobtail, but I find it to be a huge improvement for any 1911 that will be carried concealed. The Ed Brown MSH is well made ... not free, but they are a quality solution for this upgrade.

Brownells USA Bobtail MSH 01/05/2015

I installed the bobtail MSH after using the Ed Brown bobtail jig. The MSH dropped right in with no fitting required, not including the finishing of the cut. It looks and feels good.
