Brownells USA Useless 06/10/2016

absolutely useless, you spend $50 on something that does not give you any benefit at all, since you can use the actual part to be installed as reference. And using this jig to hold the frame while drilling, as depicted in one of the other comments, sure makes it difficult to line up frame true 90 degrees to drill.

Don't waste your money on this.

Brownells USA Works! 17/07/2015

I shifted from the directions in that I did not use a #2 center drill which will cost you another 35 bucks. I used the 5/32" carbide bit in a drill press, used some cutting oil, and slowly cut the first hole. Cleaned the holes of metal chips, left the frame on the jig, and then cut the second hole by pressing the carbide bit thru the first hole, then thru the jig, and simply cut the second hole. No problems at all and no need to turn the frame over to do the opposite side. As long as your bit clears the jig on all sides you will cut perfect matching holes. Must have if building bobtail 1911s.
