It all started witht he time proven accuracy and reliability of the original Model 3 Powder Measure. The Model 3BR Powder Measure utilizes all of the features of the original Model 3 and to that Redding added the conversion features that Benchrest shooters were looking for. It quickly became their most popular powder measure for two very good reasons... Its broad range of charging cpacity and its performance record. Additional Metering Chambers are availiable. Hangun Metering Chamber has a charge range of 0 to 10 grains. Rifle or Universal Metering CHamber has a charge range of 5 to 100 grains.

I have had one of these for years. Just added a Sinclair drop tube and adaptor for compressed rifle loads. Excellent measure made even better. You cannot go wrong with one of these.

I purchased this stand when I first started reloading because it was recommended by one of the Sinclair staff. It's still going strong and I've been very happy with it. I load rifle cartridges up to 375 H&H and it works great. (I'm sure it would work well for larger cartridges as well). I highly recommend buying the stand which goes with this powder measure. This stand works great when mounted to a bench or you can attach it to a small piece of plywood for a completely portable powder measure set up. It also looks great.

Excellent, but... (21/01/2012)

I'm giving it five stars because I'm extremely impressed with its quality and sturdiness-- I don't see this ever wearing out. Having said that, I get the same use out of an RCBS measure for half the price. While this measure is the Mercedes, a Ford will get you to the same place. Your choice.

Defective (19/02/2016)

Got a thought that is as it should be, the nose is crooked. Use two pull out spout out of the box and see that the spout is separately dropped out, found that the curve fit and cracked.

The accuracy of weighing is excellent, but the execution is poor.

I live in Russia, and unfortunately there is no return possible.

Reliable Redding (12/01/2013)

The Redding 3BR that I acquired came with the universal metering chamber. With this set up I became quickly familiar with the use of a powder trickler and having to establish repeatable throws. I found myself spending more time trickling up to my load.

Investing in the pistol metering chamber was a good decision. Once I dialed in the charge weight I found myself using the powder trickler less, looking at my beam scale less and seeing more finished bullets. This trickler did not have problems with Bullseye. I will be using metering chamber with Titegroup and Herco in the future.
