Verifies chamber length so you know your rifle is absolutely safe to fire. The Go gauge is used to measure the minimum allowable, safe chamber headspace. If the bolt does not close on a Go gauge, the rifle is considered unsafe to shoot. Slightly longer, the Field gauge is used to measure the absolute maximum allowable, safe chamber headspace. If the bolt closes on a No-Go gauge, the Field gauge is used for an additional check. If the bolt then closes on the Field gauge, the rifle is considered unsafe to shoot, you’ll have to have the barrel set back and rechambered. Includes a durable, plastic storage case.

Good For Milsurp Bolt Gun Shooters(25/08/2017)
You really should pick one of these up if you're planning on shooting any of the rechambered milsurp bolt actions out there, like the Spanish Guardia Civil M1916 Mausers, converted M95 Chilean Mausers, and Rechambered Israeli K98ks. Not a bad idea for Ishapore 2A and 2A1s as well. Simple to use, and matches up with the max chamber spec for 7.62 NATO. Save yourself the cash and the hassle and buy one, especially if you plan to own more than 1.
Note: If you have a more recent semiauto rifle that is based on a milsurp parts kit but is remanufactured, like the C308, or milsurp based semiautos like the DSA FALs, M1As, and PTR-91s, be sure the gun is actually chambered in 7.62 NATO. Most of them are actually .308 guns.
