With Some Help From ....(13/12/2011)
a bushing wrench, the EGW bushing replaced the stock bushing without any fitting. Did touch up the edges, as they were rather sharp. The barrel fit was to say the least, spot on. Flange on front of bushing is much thicker to extend to the crown of the barrel. Nice beveled edge on flange.
Great Fit!(20/12/2012)
The bushing was for a Colt Combat Commander. It was a tight fit, but it did not require tuning. However, a bushing wrench is necessary due to the tight fit.
fit like a glove(22/02/2010)
Specs are perfect, I.D and O.D. Looks great and fits even better. Couldn't be happier Installed on a Kimber classic custom target with a better fit than the original bushing. A++++
great product(12/12/2011)
i use this bushing with great results in my shop. i use this part # a lot
Excellent(04/05/2012)
About 20 min of fitting on my Colt Govt. model tight fit. Extra thickness has made the barrel flush, Functions great, looks even better. Highly recommended.
Works as good as it looks.(15/08/2012)
This is a nice bushing. Snug fit to the slide and minimal fitting to the barrel.
Fit my RIA 1911 A1 FS perfectly(26/09/2012)
This EGW SS bushing fit my newer RIA 1911-A1 FS perfectly; tighter fit than the original RIA bushing, needed a bushing tool to help seat it, but was not too tight. Fits perfectly with the EGW long nose solid spring plug.
Quality bushing(17/07/2013)
I put this bushing on my Magnum Research 1911. It fit the slide perfectly but required minor fitting for the barrel. It's much tighter than the factory bushing and it looks great on a black gun! I highly recommend this product.
Top of the line product(18/07/2013)
I ordered this bushing and the long nose plug also for my Citadel 1911 A1. With the factory bushing the pistol would print a 3.85 inch group at 25 yards from a bench rest sand bag. I received the EGW bushing and plug yesterday, installed it and went directly to the range. The pistol now prints a 2.65 inch group at 25 yards from the bench rest.
No problems what so ever installing and perfect functioning with no fails to feed or extract.
Best bang for the buck for an accuracy upgrade.
Closer to match fit for Kimber 1911s(20/12/2014)
This is a great upgrade for slightly tighter barrel fitting on a Kimber 1911, but you may need to fit the OD to allow it to go into slide. I was able to drop it into 1 of 3 Kimbers slides that I tried. It is very tight on the one that it does go into.
Another thing I like is the fact there is no writing stamped into exterior. It is nice and clean. Ed Brown and Wilson both stamp their names on exterior of bushing.
