Rugged, flip-up sights provide failsafe backup when your primary optic or red dot sight fails. Sight body flips up easily when you need it and locks securely in place under powerful spring pressure and two locking detent balls, so it can’t be accidentally bumped down until you hit the spring-loaded button on the left side of the base to retract it. Positions apertures at the same height as factory sights, simplifying integration of these sights on your rifle. Base clamps securely to any military or commercial Picatinny rail using a standard flathead screwdriver. No protruding knobs or levers to catch on brush, clothing, or other equipment. Sturdy, protective “ears” shield posts and apertures from impact. Front sights clamp to handguard accessory rail on the same plane as flattop and are only ½" high when folded. All models have M4-type post that’s elevation adjustable in ½ MOA increments.
SPECS: Stainless steel and aluminum, Black or Dark Earth finish.

Very solid sight(10/03/2011)
I own the Ruger SR-556. It came with the HK-Style folding front sight. One evening my basement Gremlin commanded my rifle to simply fall over during the night. The next morning I discovered the phenomenon and found that my sight on one side was completely bent flat down. I spent hours trying to bend it back to match the other side. I got it close and touched it up. It was not perfect, so I decided to go with the M4/M16 Style. This sight is very solid and I know it will never bend like the HK-Style. If you are buying a set of new folding sights, I suggest these, especially if you're a tactical operator.
Expensive...(06/05/2012)
I continue to be impressed with the quality of Troy sights... and can't quite understand why folks keep paying the price for them. Still, if you're willing to fork over the $$$ then it's hard to argue that the money is poorly spent since these things are top notch and bullet proof. You can definitely trust your life to Troy parts.
Troy must = Hidden Problems(27/12/2011)
I put these on a new AR15 build because I had heard so much hype online and in magazines about them. I was surprised when I finally put them on and had problems sighting them in at even 50yds. I double checked this with placing them on another AR15 rifle with known good POA, POI, same issue. I talked to others in forums and at the range and found out a few others reported the same issue, sights could not be zero'd without extreme rotations of the front sight post. I called Troy and asked them what gives, they explained to me they NEVER heard of this issue. That really bothered me, because a friend at the same range I shoot at had the month before just called for this SAME reason! Ultimately Troy took them back and "fixed" them. I got them back and same issue, just haven't had time to return. In the end they wouldnt tell me what the issue was, or what was supposedly fixed. I got them back with NO report as to what the issue was, just a paper from QC, with check marks on it. Very disappointed with my experience with these sights and with Troy customer service. When will vendors realize, it's better to acknowledge a problem and work to fix it than to claim to have never heard of any problems. Let customers know what happened, how you fixed it, and it won't happen again, and you'll end up with a customer that feels "taken care of". As you can tell from my experience that was Not me.
