Why not use aluminum on aluminum?(18/07/2018)
I put this on a very light build for hunting Sitka Deer with the 300 Blackout cartridge (the carbine is under 4.5lbs). Part worked great, I was worried about the steel tool putting marks on the aluminum part, but the fit to tool was very good and there are no marks. the buffer tube is typicaly aluminum (mine is polymer) so I don't see any reason structurally to have a steel nut, the threads of the tube are the weak spot anyway. Thanks V Seven and Keep Cave Man Town Awesome!
