Compensator features a large initial expansion chamber which dissipates combustion gases at a lower pressure, then directs the gases to the side and rear through precisely canted vents. Innovative reverse venting design reduces recoil and blowback while eliminating muzzle rise. Closed bottom in compensator greatly diminishes dust signature. Machined from high strength stainless steel for corrosion resistance, compensator will not erode due to the extreme heat of automatic fire. Requires use of Accu-Washers sold seperately for proper installation.

youtube ar15 muzzle brake shootout (21/03/2015)
One of the best functioning muzzle brake on the market. I have been extremely impressed. Watch the video ar15 muzzle brake shootout Muzzle devices tested. Watch a few of the other brakes then skip to 16:45. This brake came in first. Understand this will make it extremely louder to the shooter and people behind and next to him. But man it sure holds that rifle in place and on target.
Great muzzle control(23/03/2015)
I purchased one of these a couple months ago and put it on my 20" Lother Walther barrel and have put several hundred rounds down range and this has become my favorite brake I can continue to see thru the scope no problem spotting my own hits and misses. I have even been able to see vaper trails when conditions are perfect. Until using this brake I didn't know you could see your own vaper trails. I am considering buying a second one for my WOA barrel but it does direct more noise toward the shooter and that is the gun my boys and I use when hunting together the added muzzle blast may not be what we want under hunting conditions when we don't use hearing protection.
Recoil-no, painful muzzle blast-yes(02/08/2015)
Pro, this works as advertised and reduces recoil and muzzle flip to close to zero. It literally takes and AR down to a .22. Con, the muzzle blast back at the shooter's head is simply awful. I worn plugs and muffs and my ears still ringing. The gas hits you in the face and makes quick follow up shots impossible. Best way I can describe it would be put your face behind the exhaust of a diesel pickup and have someone rev it up. I putt this on a light weight build for my wife. There is no way she could shoot and enjoy this and would turn her off from shooting.
Works well.(03/10/2015)
Purchased this for a 3 gun build on an 18" barrel with rifle length gas. Used a low mass BCG and JP silent captured spring in the buffer tube.
It works well, but out of my rifle with factory federal xm193 rounds, people have commented that they see flames every now and then.
The blast is directed back at about a 45 degree angle, that is probably why it works so well. The downside to that is I did have my hairs on my hand get scorched, probably when I had my hand on a barricade or too far out front, near the comp.
It is definitely loud. I decided to double plug my ear when shooting this gun, but not if I was shooting my shotgun or handgun.
I purchased the Accu washers from the same company. They should have been included, especially since in the instructions they tell you which one would work on this comp.
4 stars since there was no washers included and you had to purchase some, and also for the blast that is angled a little too sharply for me.
recoil reduction at the cost of comfort(15/02/2016)
The recoil reduction is great for followup shots.
With an adjustable gas block and low mass bolt carrier I get just a tiny amount of left to right whip.
It will make you AR ungodly loud compared to the already loud A2 flash hider, my ears can ring a little under my muffs.
If you have a spotter they will have a hard time watching shots right next to you do to gas blowing back at them.
If non of these bother you it's hands down the best compensator for 5.56.
Great working but loud(04/03/2016)
My wife installed the M4-72 stainless steel on her Sig Sauer 516 Patrol rifle. It works as advertised. The matte stainless steel is barely noticeable. The only thing neither one of us liked is the blast hits you in the face and swirls debris under your glasses. The blast was a distraction on the range, I can only imagine firing it during a defensive situation without glasses or ear protection. Like it but will try the P.I. M-11 as a tactical alternative.
