Drop-In Upgrade For A1/A2 Rifles Or Conversion From A Carbine Stock

Direct replacement for A1- or A2-type stocks brings MOE ergonomics and versatility to your fixed-stock rifle. Sloping comb provides a comfortable, secure cheekweld, while keeping the stock’s overall profile slim. Rubberized recoil pad keeps the rifle firmly and comfortably against the shoulder. Hinged buttplate opens to reveal a spacious compartment for internal storage of small items. Integral sling loop accepts a 1¼" sling. Also includes front and rear attachment points on both sides for the Type 1 Sling Mount Kit to enable use of slings with pushbutton QD swivels. Two bosses on underside may be knocked out for attachment of a MOE accessory rail (available separately). Accepts Magpul PRS extended recoil pads.

Love This Fixed Stock (10/07/2014)

Love this stock. 10 Minute installiation was a breeze. Compartment is large and easy to store. I keep a small visine bottle of oil, boresnake, small multitool and small piece of cloth in it.

Better than standard A1/A2/A3 stock. (25/10/2014)

The fit and finish is excellent. It feels more secure than the telescopic stocks. Since I no longer have a need for heavy body armor, I find the length of pull to be perfect.

I gave it a FOUR STAR rating as it should come with at least one QD receptacle installed or packed with it. Having to buy those separately adds to the price.

If it were packed with one, it would get a 5 star rating.

I've now put this stock on 4 carbines/rifles.

If you want a "basic" fixed stock this is the answer. In reality it's actually got alot of extra features like the multipul sling mounting points and the ability to add the quick release sling mounts.

The fact that it is shorter then the A2 stock is great for smaller people with shorter arms e.g. my wife. The storage pocket is useful for spare ammo, cleaning kit or spare parts.

Fantastic for prone (22/11/2012)

Put this on my SPR and my 308 SASS. Very comfortable, perfect length for shooting prone. Works with rear bag very well. Worth more than the asking price to me. Way better than A2.

I'll use this stock for every scoped AR I build for myself and customers.

what can i say its magpul. i have yet to get anything bad from them great quality.
it was a tight fit compared to my a2 so there is no wobble its nice and solid.

Worth more than I paid (03/04/2013)

This MOE rifle stock from Magpul was surprisingly good. I picked this up to replace a cracked/faded factory fixed A2 stock that was on a Bushmaster XM15-E2S. It fit over the round A2 buffer tube without the spacer and fit perfectly with no wiggle. I re-used my old takedown pin spring. No additional hardware was required and the only necessary tool was a screwdriver. The storage compartment is quite large, bigger than the storage compartment in the factory A2 stock. It is easier to open than the factory stock, but is very secure and there is no chance of the compartment opening by accident. I'm 5' 7" and find the length of pull to be very comfortable, but it might not be ideal if you are a tall guy. It is reasonably lightweight, sturdy and looks excellent. This stock was excellent value for the money for anyone who lives in a nanny state that arbitrarily restricts cosmetic features in the hopes it makes the firearm less dangerous.

Feels good but has a flaw (28/05/2018)

This stock feels great, but it has a flaw. The swell on both sides causes my line of site to be off center in relation to the bore. Maybe you wonât notice it, but I did as soon as I installed it and shouldered the rifle. Rifle still runs great and it doesnât seem to affect things all that much. May have more of an effect on a sight with more parallax than mine. Something to consider before purchasing this otherwise awesome stock.
