Drop in magazine extension allows you to increase the capacity of both 5.56 and 7.62 PMAGS. The 5.56 extension adds 5 rounds to 30 round PMAGS and 6 rounds to 40 round magazines. Extensions for 7.62 PMAGS add 6 rounds to both the 20 and 25 round magazines. Machined from a single piece of aluminum, extensions utilize the factory magazine spring and require no special tools for installation. Extension’s extra weight also ensures the magazine drops free of the rifle for quicker reloads during competition shooting or tactical situations.
SPECS: CNC machined billet aluminum, hard coat anodize finish, black.

Great - but only fo M2 style(15/03/2015)
The TTI magazine extensions are great. But they ONLY fit the M2 models of MagPul magazines. They will NOT work on the M3 models.
Great product!(15/05/2016)
So I'm not sure about the level of proficiency for installing a Taran base pad for the guy who reviewed above me but these go on Gen III Pmags quite easily. They are compatible with Gen II magazines as well. Easy to install, easy to maintain, easy to remove for cleaning mags. Only adds an inch to the magazine which translates to six extra rounds. Well worth the money.
Must have for 3-gun competition(26/08/2016)
I have used these in several 3-gun competitions and quite a few practice sessions now. The magazines I have installed these on have functioned flawlessly thus far. I have one installed on a "GEN M3" 40-round magazine and two installed on "GEN M3" 30 round magazines. You can get 35 rounds in the 30-round mags and 46 in the 40-round mags... but you cannot seat a 46 round mag on a closed bolt. So they effectively hold 45 unless you insert on an open bolt and strip the first round as it closes. Also, make sure you take the plastic tail cap off of the spring before you put this extension on or you will not be able to get the magazine back apart and it will hold less rounds than stated. The bare spring should be in contact with this aluminum extension.
