Low Profile Fits Easily Under Long Free-Float Tubes
Minimal-bulk gas block fits easily under most free-float rails. All-steel construction provides plenty of strength to resist erosion from hot gas. Precisely machined for a close slip fit on standard .750" OD barrels. Includes mounting hardware and instructions. Gunsmith installation recommended.
SPECS: Black Nitride finish (SS Blk). 1" (2.5cm) long, 1.4" (3.6cm) high. Fits barrels .750" O.D. at gas port.

wow! great(11/05/2014)
I just did this on a 300 BLK yesterday and would highly recommend for the advanced hobbyist with a drill press. I had a old set of 20 year old V Blocks that I wouldn't do this without or something similar 973-340-463 and with my barrel on the fat side on the chamber end and the skinny V past the gas block made the barrel perfectly level for drilling with a nitride 3/16" bit and lots of LSA for cutting oil. I would not recommend the others for home install as this one has a slightly undersized "pilot hole" which makes for a very clean cut against the round surface of the barrel. I easily disassembled things after fully installing and also used the set screws to keep things securely positioned while drilling
Had issues(15/02/2015)
This gas block has two allen head screws that go into the bottom.
One of the screw holes was not machined properly or something because it was hard as hell to get the screw in.
Both screws would go into the other hole as smooth as silk but neither of them would go into the other hole.
I had to put it in a vice and use an allen key with pliers to screw the thing in the first time (almost snapped the allen key). After that I could screw it in by hand.
Very disappointing. I though Geiselle made quality products.
Good value, strong contender(23/05/2018)
I have purchased several of these for various builds. I have had no issue and this gas block as it works as advertised. Easy to assemble and disassemble. Sturdy. It does what it is supposed to do with no down side.
Typical great Geissele product.(31/12/2014)
I have used several different top brands of LoPro gas blocks, both for 5.56 and 7.62 ARs. I have always drilled dimples for barrels that didn't include it, and always use thread-locker on the set screws. But the Geissele SGB adds a whole new level of security to the LoPro gas block. Once I had my drill press set up for this procedure, using a drill press vice. Some barrels are much harder than others, so don't skimp on the drill bit quality, and go slow, use coolant.
SGB Geissele Super Gas Block(07/10/2013)
This is a perfect match for Brownells' 20" .223 Wylde barrel. A DPMS free-float fore guard slides over this gas block with miles to spare.
Solid product, clear instructions(24/10/2013)
Used a drill press to execute the "bomb proof" installation on a Rainier Arms .300 AAC Blackout barrel. Everything went like clockwork. I deviated from the instructions only slightly and first used a 5/32 bit, which fit the pilot hole tightly, to align everything and drilled through barrel and gas port with it. Chased that with the 3/16 bit and installed the roll pin. Between the two set screws and the roll pin, it's a solid installation.
Great block but may not fit all rails(05/03/2014)
These are very well made gas blocks. Fits nicely on my Daniel Defense barrel. The only issue I have with them is that they don't fit through all rail systems such as the Daniel Defense Lite rails. The profile is a slightly larger then other low-profile gas blocks. For that, I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
Poor machining, lack of fit and finish(01/06/2015)
Solid, durable gas block. Fits inside free float hand guard. Holes drilled appropriately and everything fits, except the finishing where the roll pin hole was drilled. It is almost as though this was an afterthought.
BEWARE when installing on Stainless barrels that you will have to spend a significant amount of time filing and sanding to get this to fit the standard .75" OD Stainless barrel. It will slide on about 2/3 the way to gas port, then stick. If it does come off, make sure to file where holes are drilled. If not, get ready to do some serious sanding and repair work to the finish of your barrel.
Disclaimer, I would recommend this as it is a nice gas block. I would think that for the cost, it would come fit to exactly .75" instead of .745". With that being said, with proper fitment, it fits my barrel well.
