Perfect for AR-15 Platforms(30/09/2010)
I have one of these cases and it works perfect for concealing a taken down AR-15. Simply pull the upper off and put it on one side and on the other side of the divider put the lower with room for an additional 2 mags. While at competitions or hunting, you can walk through hotels and other places and most people have no idea you even have a rifle in the case. Great product!
Bulldog Discreet Rifle Cases(21/03/2011)
I have 2 Arsenal Bulgarian SA93 model AK47s. I wanted them to look like luggage when I have to carry them around. I went to ACE (I think that is who I got them from) to get receiver blocks that would allow for rock solid side folder components. It was "0" trouble to do the conversion and "Wallah", I now have folding stocks (Used Magpul CTR" stocks) on them and they fit perfectly in the Bulldog cases. The cases are well padded and the zippers are heavy duty. Now you might never guess what is concealed in the cases. They work perfect for me and my other friends who purchased. I give them only 4 stars because the only color they come in is navy blue. Would like a OD Green or Desert tan option. All things considered I am greatly satisfied. Like all things from Brownells, they were perfectly described on their web site and work as promised.
It is a discrete rifle case(29/12/2011)
I was looking for a rifle case that does not look like a rifle case. When I am transporting guns, I prefer not to stand out that I have a gun. This case does not look like it contains a AR-15. If anything, I would like it labled "NIKON Camera" or something indicating it is a musical instrument.
You pop the 2 retaining pins to separate the AR into a upper and lower unit. It is not desigend to bring the gun into action quickly as you need to attach the top and bottom units first.
It is well made and I fully recommend it.
Bulldog AR-15 case needs 6 mag pouches(14/01/2012)
Nifty case, well made, but is should accommodate a full load-out of 6 mags. The magazine pockets should be in a "separate compartment" (? zips on and zips off ?) to satisfy legal transportation statutes in most states. A little extra planning would have resulted in a better product.
It's discreet all right(04/06/2012)
Inexpensive discreet case that's a great value. There are some trade offs in capacity for magazines and accessories, so not perfect, but I don't think you can beat it for the price.
Very good padding, zippers, well designed hidden/deployable single shoulder/waist strap carry system and handles, very compact and well made.
Best of all it doesn't scream TACTICAL! Sew a Yamaha patch on the flap and you're completely ordinary. You could tell anybody it held a soprano saxophone and they'd never doubt you.
I really like this case(09/07/2012)
I wanted a discreet case for my 308 AR carbine. I was willing to take it down to achieve that. This case does it well, at a very, very reasonable price. The padding does a very good job of protecting the contents in addition to masking the contents inside. There are two pouches inside. They are large enough to hold a Pmag for the larger 308. The zipper is pretty large and appears durable.
Perfect for all folding stock AKs(30/08/2014)
This storage/carry case is perfect for any folding stock AK. The twin interior pouches accommodate standard 20- or 30-round magazines with no problems. It is extremely well-made and the zipper is robust enough to handle the load. Overall, it's nice to have a case that doesn't advertise its' contents.
Great for a Tavor rifle(14/12/2014)
I carry my Tavor bull pup rifle in the case. The case is just long enough with the 16" barrel.
It does not look like a gun case. I will look to put a sport related decal such as Wilson, Nike, perhaps a musical instrument image or name.
ARX100 fits when stock is folded(07/01/2015)
Pulled out the divider and the Beretta ARX100 fits in the case when the stock is folded. An external pocket would be nice, but for the price it is still worth 5 stars.
Fits 28" gun perfectly.(18/07/2016)
My 9mm AR with the suppressor attached is exactly 28". The case fits the gun perfectly. I think it would fit if it was 1/2" longer but it would be tight.
I thought I would want more magazine holders but I just lay them on the other side of the padded middle divider and they don't move around so I'm good with that. When magazines are in the provided holders, they stay in place when the case is closed.
The case is well padded with heavy durable zippers. It only comes in the color blue, which makes sense when you think about it. It's a covert case and black, green or tan scream military/tactical and would be more likely noticed. Real men wouldn't buy a yellow, polka dotted or pink case, so blue is the right choice.
Since my 9mm AR uses Glock mags, I wanted a case I could fit the suppressed rifle in with a 9mm Glock pistol and a few mags that interchange between the two and be able to carry around discreetly. This case fits that need to the T.
Good case for the price(24/07/2016)
It is a nice case, well padded, discrete and will hold 2 SBRs, though there is some bulk when doing so. The divider has sufficient padding so that nothing on one side of the divider dings up something on the other side.
My only issue with it, which is why I gave it 4 stars, is the magazine pouch. There should be something, even if it's just hook/pile tape to hold the magazines in place. I knew this before I bought it, but loved the price and didn't figure that I could go too far wrong if it didn't work for me. To solve the magazine pouch problem I wrap whatever gun or 1/2 of a gun that I'm carrying on the magazine pouch in cloth to keep it from getting knocked by the magazines, which unfortunately adds some more bulk. I will probably install some hook/pile tape in the future to hold them.
Overall a good value and I would recommend this case to anyone that doesn't want to scream tactical when they check into a hotel.
compact and very protective!(02/05/2017)
i love this case, yes it does require you to separate the two halves of your AR however it provides ample amount of protection. I really feel as if my carbine is being protected. The amount of plush is great. One thing I do wish they could add is some straps for the inside that way your upper and lower doesn't slide around. Not that it really does, but it would help. Construction of this case is extremely high quality and for the price you can't beat it. Too bad they don't have the tan version anymore. I had originally bought one for a KSG I used to own. If you are tired of lugging around a long and obvious case, get yourself one of these.
Discreet Rifle Case(21/07/2017)
Great case for moving your rifle around in public discreetly. Some complaints people have about the case is that it doesn't have a way to secure it. I feel it is not really needed. Once the case is zipped up, the foam "sandwhiches" everything together so that is doesn't shift around very much. If you're an minimalist, this case might be for you.
Discreet carry case(27/10/2017)
I'm amazed at the room, but wish it had straps inside. Has enough room for 2 rifles! I put 2 collapsible carbine lowers on one side and room for 2 uppers on the other. One of those has an 18" barrel. Sure a 20" would fit just fine. Only 4 stars because no straps inside
